Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!

I want to build my very own dining room table… One big enough to seat 6-8 & topped with reclaimed wood. I think I’m going to tackle it next year when I should have the space to give it a go.

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY! My current dream project will happen this summer when I convert a small office into an efficient storage room. Lots of custom cabinets to build and the Kreg Jig will get lots of use!! After that…maybe new cabinet doors and fronts for the kitchen that match!!

We definitely need some storage solutions here: bookshelves, floating shelves, closet shelves — just lots of shelves!

We always seem to be doing wood projects at our house. The next big one is my studio – it an unfinished room in the basement and we are going to finish it and build a whack of furniture for it. Cutting tables, sewing tables, card tables, the works!

Thanks for the great draw and the great site

This contest comes at a perfect time for me as I just used one of Ana’s (Knock Off Wood) plans to build a bedside table this weekend. It was my first furniture project so I decided to start with 1 and now I’m itching to begin the 2nd one!

I want to help my husband build our new bath cabinets. We finished building the beautiful maple ones in the kitchen. I shocked him the other day by connecting 2 boards while he was gone on an errand! (We’ve only been married 3 years, so I am just now learning about woodworking!) Clovis Community College has a great class I have been wanting to take to learn more…now I have a built-in teacher and a SHOP right here!

Current dream woodworking project? A nice, modern simple platform bed. Something along the lines of the Malm bed, but a little higher!

In the future though we’d like to build our own place so there will be plenty more projects….
