Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY! I would like to build nightstands or side tables. I’d like to be able to make basic furniture pieces that we could give as gifts. It seems that older generations do that more often than our generation and I think making something for someone that takes so much time and precision is so special!

My dream project would be to design and build an entire built in home theater / entertainment center. My basement has the perfect space for a large (at least 12 foot) wide case which would house a television, and all of the home theater equipment required to host an amazing Super Bowl party!

Wow, what couldn’t I build with this. I’ve had it on my wish list page for months!

    http://www.myfirstgarage.com/tool-wish-list

Mostly I’d use it to create face-frames for most of my cabinets (like the ones in my garage, and the soon to be made ones for my closet).

But there are so many other uses, too – picture frames, shelves, garden accessories, the works!

My dream wood project is really just a set of bookcases. Someday I’d like to move beyond the $30 shelves from Target that sag with as many books as I try to put on them, but a library’s worth of shelves is super expensive!

This would so help us with some bookshelves. Like many others I have a huge list of projects from Ana’s Knock Off Wood site. Since hubby’s job makes him work many hours this would be such a help to me. I could do some of those projects without an extra pair of hands that is never around when I need him.
