Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Oh, this is exciting, the Boyfriend only likes to DIY with metal which makes for a lot of industrial projects in our house, I would love to do more with wood and this would really help out making some great pieces…..
    Fingers crossed!!

The hubs and I have a couple of items on the to-do list from Knock Off Wood that we are going to tackle soon to upgrade our little laundry nook. I’m thinking a crisp white Expedit-inspired cubby shelf and a parsons desk-inspired sewing desk. We just got our nail gun delivered the other day and we can’t wait!

I am building a pull out bookcase that will fit into an old closet that I am removing. It will be 92″ tall, 36″ wide, and 28″ deep. It will have six shelves on both sides and be on wheels to pull out with a stop limiting how far it comes out.

    “I’M GETTING’ JIGGY”

I dreamed about building something, anything! I bought so many tools and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Until I came across the Kreg Jig, which increasingly sharpen my knowledge in creating cabinetry. I have drawers and doors with a beautiful granite countertop. My mistakes have been down atleast 80%, the other 20% is from carelessness. I also creasted a work table and picture frames. I am very impressed with Kreg Jig’s products. I plan on making dressers with drawers and an entertainment system. I do alot of reading a researching on how to build cabinets, I just wish I could Kreg’s project plans and incorporate it into mines. Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.

My dream wood project is one I saw in Todd Oldham’s Handmade Modern book. It’s basically an upholstered bench/bed with little cubbbies underneath it. I would make it large enough to fit a twin size mattress and use it for guests and extra seating.

I’d have to start simply. My husband is an incredible do-it-yourself-er, but I would love to do something on my own and really impress him! I think I’d start with 2 short bookcases that would sit under the windows that flank my old brick fireplace. C’mon all you Craigs at Kreg! Give it to me!
