Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’m gettin’ jiggy…I’d love to learn more about woodworking (my grandfather loved it, but he died before I was old enough to take an interest) and I think I’d make some shelves for a bare wall in my bedroom.

I’m getting jiggy! Things I have lusted over & know I could build if I only had the “right stuff”…. the list is long! I would love a bench for our dining room table, a bench with lots of storage for by the front door (the landing strip), floating bookshelves, desks & tables made from repurposed old doors & beams, a few simple boxes for storage (similar to the ones you crafted but lighter & smaller)…. sigh… the possibilities!

I’d love to have one of these kits. I’ve been planning an addition to my patio since I moved in to my house 6 months ago – a combination storage bench, planter box, and trellis to provide shade, beauty, and storage for my patio area.

I would love to be able to build my kids their own outdoor playhouse. They had a good ol Little Tykes outdoor house as toddlers and preschoolers but have now outgrown it. They are always talking about how they really miss playing in there, but the only playhouses I have found for sale for older children cost quite the small fortune!

My dream project is the one my hubby (a carpenter and tech ed teacher) is building for me right now…it’s a built in cabinet for the microwave and coffee maker with space for potatoes and onions. It wraps around the fridge and has a wine rack and space to hang my wine glasses. I can’t wait for him to finish it!!

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!

I bought my first house a year ago. I’m an English teacher and a book lover, and my old apartment had built-in bookshelves so… I have nowhere to put my books now! They are underneath beds hidden in closets, sitting on top of the stereo, etc. There is one wall in my dining room that is screaming out for built-in bookshelves, and I really want to tackle it but do not have the right tools.

I WOULD BE SO THRILLED TO WIN THEM!!! Thanks for offering the giveaway.
