Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

“I’m getting jiggy with it.” I would love to build a bar down in our den with the kreg jigs. I am so addicted to building things with it I have a list a mile long. This weekend I made a screen door for our Garage. Happy Kreging!

“I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” on April 5th 2 days under the limit…
•BONUS QUESTION: My favorite project with my Kreg Jig to date is my ARTS & CRAFT STYLE Morris Chair-it turned out great and someday I will make the matching morris sofa and tables…
I also have the Klamp Table and it is an absolute home run for making face frames for cabinet work-all the Kreg products I own work as good, if not better than advertised. I cannot say enough about them! This summer (I will be teaching till May 17th & my schedule is carzy) I am finishing the last of KREG plan projects and I also recommend them. I especially liked the workbench plan-it turned out fantastic! And I hope I’m the lucky one for this contest too!

    Thanks so much!
    Sincerely,

    Terry
    the happy Kreg Owner!

I’m Gettin Jiggy with my garage! My husband and I are looking to make some shelving units and a countertop for our garage so we can get it organized!

My husband just got a new job as the SFT (really just a fancy title for “Maintenance Man”) at Target. He has never been handy around the house, but he went through a few training courses and now it’s like he discovered gold!

The only problem is…he has absolutely no tools! He has been bringing home tools from work – oops! – and fixing all the broken or loose stuff around the house. It’s so cute!!! He even started telling me the technical terms for the tools that I call “The small thing with the things you can change out to screw stuff in.”

For me to be able to win this would make his day! I hope I win!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY! I want a big farmhouse style wooden dining room table. I like to think I’m pretty handy but my little pink tool kit can only go so far. My uncle does carpentry as a hobby/side job and offered to make me piece of furniture of my choosing for college graduation. 5 years later and I’ve yet to collect on that offer…I think a phone call is in order!

I want to convert a room into a hobby/music room for my wife and I. The kids are all married and moved out so it’s time to do something for us. I have ideas to make shelving and tables etc. I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer and want to get some things done that would normally get put aside for later.

“I am getting Jiggy” and have been doing so since 1996 as that is when I bought my first Kreg Jig. As a High School Woodworking teacher the Kreg Jig could be operated easily by all levels of H.S. age students. I also have taught Adult education since 1973 and have introduced many, many H.S. students as well as adults to the ease and simplicity of using a Kreg jig as well as the meny additional products they have added since 1996. If you haven’t seen the newest product Kreg has developed for building decks, you are really missing out on a great time saving device that will add to the ease of construction of any deck surface.

I would love to build my own sideboard/buffet for the kitchen. I know exactly what I’m looking for but can’t find one I love without spending a ton. Plus then I could stain it to match the kitchen cabinets–an extra bonus! It seems like a rather big project to start with though–I think shelving would be a better 1st step.
