Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY…for my husband! (tee hee)

He is a super duper handy husband and now, dad, who has built a number of different things for our 9-month old son’s nursery. His projects have included shelves, a small side table next to the glider and now he’s tackling a DIY version of the Storagepalooza chests from Land of Nod. Let me tell you…they’re looking incredible already!

He was always a handy guy around the house, but becoming a dad really brought out the carpenter in him. And I would love to be able to win this for him as a ‘thank you’ for all his hard work and thoughtfulness. Thanks!

hi to all, my youngest grandson is realy into legos and is into building bird feeders when we are in my shop. so i would like to have a table all cut out and drilled using a kreg jig so he could put it together. That would give him alot of self-confidents and also give him a great little table to put his legos together on.

I’m GETTIN’ JIGGY… My Dream Project is FINALLY under construction! And boy, could my DH use that Kreg Jig and screws right now. For the past six years, I’ve kept asking my DH to build a bead board cottage style banquette for our small kitchen… and it never happened. Until last Friday, April 2nd, when he started the banquette as a birthday gift for me! (My DH really loves me!!) I saw him struggling with holding the wood and inserting the screws at the same time -and that’s not easy even for an experienced DIYer like him. I hope that I can win the Kreg Jig and screws for my wonderful hubby, as a “thank you” for his thoughtfulness. I’ll even send you a picture of it when it’s done!

I have to fix up my uncles new home, starting with cabinets and then all the trim. there is a reason why some homes sell cheap on forclosures haha they took everything including the kitchen sink !! with a Kreg jig it will make my life so much easier especially with all the work i need to do there. Please pick me, help a out of work person do something good for someone else.

I want to build a trellis off of the back screened porch and make a more open backyard getaway then what the porch currently feels like. I’m talking about laying out a stone floor under the trellis and getting one of those nice outdoor table/firepit sets, and mixing some outdoor lighting via Christmas lights into the trellis.

Not to mention the million other house projects that need to get done!

Well, ok so my hubs is usually the one doing any carpentry around our house…but hey, a girl can try, right?

We’re hoping to re-do our kitchen in the next couple years, and the main project will be fixing up our 1850’s cabinets. In serious need of TLC/replacement. If we go the replacement route I’m pretty sure we’ll just make our own to save some $$.

We’re also planning on making loads of built-in shelves in our living room and family room…so we can have a mini library going on with all our homesteading books!

Oh….how to choose the DIY projects swimming in this little head of mine. Let’s see….will it be the old mahogany wood frame turned into hidden jewelry storage, a padded headboard, a new top for my kitchen sidetable or will I use those old hardwood flooring boards and turn them into some great art? What to do first with my new Kreg Tools?
