Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’M GETTING JIGGY!

I blogged this morning actually about how we’re in the middle of a project where we’re building a raised wooden platform to fill in a recessed area of out deck so it’s all even on the top.

Then there’s the mirror frame that’s coming, and the new 12-cube bookshelf I want to make, and the side tables for our living room…

“I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” …..and this looks like the tool that will finally let me build a cabinet. As a beginning woodworker this has the potential to get me started, gain some experience , and “nail” the confidence to finally finish it.

Ever since you guys linked to Knockoff Wood, I’ve been hooked, and dreaming of all sorts of woodworking projects! My first obsession is to build a beautiful, affordable bed, but I may start with night stands since they’d be a good beginner project.

I have been wanting to build my little boy a set of bunk beds. But not your ordinary bunk beds, one with a theme. He’s 18 months and every time we go to the furniture store he goes crazy over the bunk beds he sees.

What a great tool! Love the shelves you made with it. The one thing I’ve always wanted to make is a custom TV/Entertainment stand. Our family room is shaped weird, and I can’t seem to find something that fits, is a style I like, and that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
