Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Loving the Will Smith reference, by the way.

I’m certainly not the wood-worker in my house, but the hubs is dreaming of having his own workshop when he retires. He wants to build everything from bookshelves to gazebos. Porches to rocking chairs. Sky’s the limit for him! For right now, he’s hoping to do some built-in bookshelves for our basement.

Kreg jig arrived in the morning and by afternoon had fixed a cabinet door that had defied every previous effort. Working on the top of 5-foot light house on the dock and planning a built in table in the kitchen joining nautical-like top (oak and aspen instead of teak and holly)using pocket holes.

We rent, so there’s not a ton I can do to this house (but I’d like to!). Our living room here has this horrible nook thing next to the fireplace. I think it was originally built to house a tv… before flat-screens were invented. Needless to say, our tv can’t go in there, but the cable jack is right in the middle of it. I would LOVE to build a shelf to fit the entire space and obscure all the ugliness!

My Kitchen Cabinets have been falling apart for years now,all original when we bought the house 16 years ago. their probably 40+years old. being held together with Sheetrock Screws,….only thing missing is some bailing wire. I started on a Vanity Cabinet to build my confidence and it’s coming out Great With the Kreg Jig.
My wish is to give my Wife the Kitchen Cabinets she deserves :)

I would LOVE to have a Kreg jig to use. My wife wants me to build her new kitchen cabinets, and with all of the custom features she would like to have in them it is going to be an interesting challenge. A Kreg jig would make the fabrication of the cabinets go alot faster over traditional biscuit joints….

Wow, what an awesome giveaway–it would be a perfect gift for my husband’s birthday! My dream project would definitely be a bed. I’ve got the plans, all I have to do is bring the table saw from our family’s shop to our garage and have at it!
