Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME!!!

I’m commenting on behalf of my parents. They’ve been remodeling the house they built 15 years ago and are almost done! Unfortunately the upstairs bathroom is being neglected. New shower curtain, bath mats and towels don’t make a difference in the bathroom. They’re in need of new fixtures to replace the ugly gold ones inhabiting the room now! It would be an awesome anniversary present to them (the end of the month marks 38 years together!)!!

FIX ME up please! Our house (1920 vintage) has one full bath for six people. Except for a pantry-turned-toilet-in-a-closet off the kitchen, this bath is it. The worst part is the tile. Floor: ancient linoleum, which was probably once cream and black but is now yucky brown and black. Bathtub Surround: hideous 1970’s white with bronze speckles, and it’s laid all crooked! Bad DIY ancestors! We have brightened with aquamarine paint, geometric curtains, shower curtain, and IKEA bathmats. I ditched the laminate doors from the vanity and made new ones, added new hardware; even made a “false side” to that cabinet to disguise the nasty particleboard underneath. Would love to jazz up with fixtures. Thank you!

    FIX ME, pretty please!

Wow, where do I begin? The hideous wallpaper, the old 1970s vanity, the counter top that looks like head cheese, the leaky bathroom faucet or the rusted out sinks. It’s really a toss up, as all of those items make it the least desirable bathroom. When we moved in this home three years ago, we had big hopes of remodeling but then the economy hit! We’ll get there sometime but a little help would sure help get us there!

    Fix Me!

When the previous owners upgraded a shower into the 1970s bathroom, they put drywall up and tiled over it on the inside. The window that used to be in the bathroom is still viewable from the outside. That whole wall needs redoing and we are fighting against mold constantly.

FIX ME! Oh, the problems we have… one bathroom is in desperate need of new tiles which are original and close to 40 years old. The master bathroom needs a gut since the shower pan has fallen, the tiles are coming off, and the shower doors are just plain ugly. I just want to hide my head in the sand about it all for a few more years…

Parts of our house date back to 1880, and I’m convinced that the bathroom fixtures are as old. Those Moen fixtures would bring us into the 21st century.
