Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

I just bought a new house and the bathrooms are so weird! All the counters are way too short. Thankfully everything works, it’s just strange!

Our bathroom is a hot 80’s inspired mess. Picture powder blue tiles, burgundy trim, vanity lights. While I would love to take care of these more aesthetic problems, I think the fact that drywall dust rains from the ceiling every time we go up to the attic may be a bigger issue…

My master bath needs a new tub faucet, stat. After every shower, I have to screw the knob in so it doesn’t leak. I also have to make sure the faucet knob is at a certain angle, or else it won’t screw tight enough. AH! It’s so awful but we just haven’t been able to buy a new set lately.

    FIX ME!

My hall bath is pretty good, but the master bathroom, which was built five years ago for my wheelchair-bound husband, is a mess. I let him design it and buy the fixtures, which meant it was done ultra-cheap (and not in the good YHL way). I replaced the toilet after about six months, but haven’t been able to do anything else. Also, even though the shower enclosure is in fair condition, the shower head was placed low to accommodate him, so I have to contort myself like a circus acrobat to rinse my hair.

Both of our bathrooms have one of my biggest bathroom pet peeves– those obnoxiously stubby faucets that force you to squish your hands up against the back of the sink bowl in order to get them under the stream of water. You know, the ones usually found in sketchy public restrooms where you don’t want to touch anything. ;-)

    FIX ME!!

We’ve been in the process of overhauling the kitchen, dining, and living rooms and just haven’t had the time or money to tackle any of the bathrooms. Our main bathroom (which guests use) is a sad rose colored pink, and has what has to be the most dated toilet seat of all time – it is FAUX MOTHER OF PEARL. That’s right. *shudder* Please save us from our sad bathroom!!!

The tile in my bathroom is horrible. It is a matte green. It was newly installed the week before I bought my condo so for a while I’ve felt guilty about ripping it out. This could be just the motivation I’ve needed!

Hm… i think the mirror in my bathroom atm is the biggest problem. It once had a bigger mirror, the wall was painted and then they downgraded to a smaller mirror without sanding down the wall and smoothing out the paint. So there is a clear ridge where you can see the outline of the old mirror…

FIX ME! I am scared to death to tackle the oldest bathroom in our house (built in 1900). The “tile” surrounding the shower is actually just masonite boards that look like tile and you can tell by pushing on it how much water damage has happened behind the shower. This prize is exactly what I need to kickstart the renovation–hope I win!
