Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Fix me! Every morning my shower water is mixed with tears when I look at the terrible install/caulk job my husband did with the cheapest, dorm-style community bathroom fixtures. Okay, not really but, seriously, they are not great.

    FIX ME!!!

We could really use this. Our bathroom hasn’t been updated since the house was built! We could really use a new vanity and sink (as well as fixtures). The vanity is veneer and is peeling at the corners. And our sink faucet is set so far back that we bang our hands on the back of the sink basin when we wash them.

    FIX ME!!

My tub and sink are a bright, bright teal blue from the ’50s. It’s as awesome as it sounds. The previous owners swapped out the matching toilet, but it’s down in the basement. And for some reason they painted the inside of the linen cupboard bright pink, yellow and green stripes. I just don’t get it, but getting rid of all of it is on our mile-long to-do list!

FIX ME!!! Most desperate is our master shower which we haven’t yet been able to use since we moved in as the tiles are cracked and we don’t want the moisture to do damage to the walls.

Our vanity is about 2-3 inches wider than the actual room itself, so the previous owners – get this – just CUT A HOLE in the drywall for the countertop to jut into.

We have been daydreaming/brainstorming a master bath redo for a while now. It’s an awkward layout, crummy dated tile, and cheapo fixtures. So it’s hard to pick just one thing that needs fixing in there!

We have horrible pale yellow tile everywhere in our tiny master bathroom. Everything but the shower head is original to the 1959 design. This fall we will be demolishing all the tile to update it. These fixtures would help bring a modern look to our tiny bathroom!

    FIX ME
First it’s pink. Not like the “maybe we can make this work” springtime pink. Not even the “let’s go for a nature look” salmon pink. It’s a beige-y sort of bland, do-nothing pink with brown-cinnamon accent tiles.

Then there’s the shower. The head’s not tall enough for my husband to stand up straight. The tub is a lovely shade of stained. And the stems are “multiple trips to many stores, gosh here try these as your best bet, nope those don’t work either” levels of broken making the plumbing currently not showerific.

Needless to say, this would go a long way to fixing things up in there!
