Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    Fix me!

Considering that my Dad accidentally interpreted “Please rip out the master bath” as “Please rip out the first bathroom you see”, I’m faced with two unfinished bathrooms (he ripped out the guest bathroom, which I was using while working in the master!). So I’m in need of a whole mess of bathroom things. But I’ve got new tile installed on the floor, and the wallpaper is finally finito. New fixtures would go a long way to help my unexpected guest bath budget!

We can go ahead and check off just about all those little needs for our bathroom. Broken floor tile – check! Leaky faucet – check! Ugly vanity and poorly matching mirror – check and check! It would be great to move this project to the top of our “to do” list!

The Showerhead at my parent’s house drips super hot water on you while you shower. I actually avoid showering there and just try to swim in the pool and not see anyone.

The thing that needs fixing the most is the toilet seat lid, which broke clean off. The annoyance level is not quite high enough so that I think about it unless I’m actually in the bathroom, so I never end up doing anything about it. This is my own personal “dude get on that already” project :-)

The tub in our main bathroom is in dire need of an update. Dingy off white color? Check. Mysterious stains that won’t come off? Check. Hole that was patched with some kind of teal goo? Check.

Can’t wait til we can upgrade!

Fix Me please! Since we moved into our house (long ago) we haven’t had a master bathroom because of plumbing issues. A remodel is being saved for, but as of now we are just using the only other bathroom in the house. This would be super helpful!

FIX ME! Our basement bathroom, used daily by my poor sister-in-law, has a leaky faucet and no storage space and super-thin walls. Then again, our guest bath has two-toned fixtures that are half eaten by lime and a noisy plastic shower insert. They are both bad bathrooms!

FIX ME! Where do I begin? Our bathroom has 1950’s pink tile walls and shower, a medicine cabinet that breaks my nails every time I try to open, a stained sink and an ugly threshold between the hall and door. It would be a difficult decision to figure out what to replace first! I would love to go with all neutrals.

I think the worst offender in our master bath is the carpet on the floor! Yep, you read that right, we’ve got carpet in our bath. We just finished remodeling our guest bath and our master bath will be remodeled within the next month or so….just as soon as I can decide on and order all the finishes (tile, faucets, sinks, tub, etc.). It would be perfect if I won this fab freebie!

FIX ME! My entire master bathroom needs an update, but the worst is the shower. The white tiles, seat, floor and door is just gross despite cleaning and many attempts at caulk. It also has the dreaded brass trim. My kids broke half the shower knob off too so it would be great to get a replacement.

In our upstairs bathrooms, the previous owners retiled, didn’t freaking SEAL the grout, and slapped the grout on thick to make up for janky tile cuts, etc. Then they “caulked” which meant they squirted caulk along seams but didn’t bother to come back and smooth it down. Yeah. We’ve got issues in our bathrooms…

Fix me! Our bathroom is in need of a total overhaul! It’s the master bath, and has the shortest and tiniest of showers! It’s also got super gross old fixtures, the smallest vanity known to man, and is a bold macaroni yellow. I worry about turning jaundice every time I put my make up on! Save us young house love!

FIX ME! I’d fix the wallpaper first — old 80s style and it’s peeling, with some possible mold in the bathroom that has no ventilation other than the window.. yuck! And our vanity is pretty bad too.. I do like our porcelain sink, though, but the faucets are outdated.

Our master bath is in desperate need of an overhaul. When we moved in we made sure the kids’ bath was done because that was also the guest bath. In the meantime, we have been trying to save money to re-do ours and now our shower looks like it is leaking behind the wall and the faucet is leaking so we could really use this!
