Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME!!!

I only have one bathroom and mostly its not bad, but the faucets are truly terrible. All the faucets are the ones with the clear plastic handles and they’re just plain grody no matter how much I clean them! So they are at the top of my “someday when I win the lottery and have the money to replace” list.

    FIX ME!!

The worse thing in our bathroom is the rust spot around the tub drain. There were a ton of worse things that we have already fixed like tiles coming off the walls and floors, rotten studs in one wall and part of the ceiling, and no light fixture over the tub.

I like to call the color of the tile in our master bathroom “It’s a Girl” pink. It’s HORRIBLE, so I would say that the tile is most in need of updating.

We discovered a little after moving in that our bathroom had been quickly ‘updated’ for sale, by covering old moldy tile floor with laminate, painted over some leaky spots as well. I ‘ m not sure I want to know what’s behind the shower unit at this point. My husband has spent some time fixing the leaks from the ceiling and walls but we might still need to gut everything out to make sure we get rid of all the mold. :(

One of the two full baths in the house has lovely gold knobs (circa 1989) on everything with peeling color. Last night we realized the faucet knobs on the bath tub also leak when in use. This would be awesome for that bathroom!! :)

Our entire bathroom needs to be overhauled. We have floor to ceiling avocado green tile, mismatched floor tiles, terrible plastic shower backsplash, and…..drumroll…a whole in our wall to the outside. What??

Thanks a lot, leaky faucet that caused the wall to rot!

    FIX ME.

We are currently in the trenches of our bathroom demo/remodel. In addition to expanding into the first floor bedroom, everything is getting replaced. The tile is old and cracked and the rotted wood base vanity is no longer (we are currently brushing our teeth in the kitchen sink). We already moved the plumbing and ran the electrical but there is still soooo much to do and there is only so many hours in a day.

FIX ME because my fixtures are tired of crying (dripping) tears — lol Seriously need a makeover on both bathrooms and unfortunately just lost my job and trying to get the whole house in a decent condition for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. I love reading YHL and all the tips but mostly anything about BURGER! ;-)

FIX ME! Our master tub needs a serious face lift. When we moved into our house, the sellers used a can of “tile paint” to conceal any imperfections in the tub. Let’s just say it’s not very waterproof and now we have a splotchy, peeling bath tub!

My husband refers to our master bath as, “The Chevron Gas Station Bathroom” Sun bleached linoleum with holes, an extra short leaky toilet, rusted brass light fixture, and the most awesome sea shell pedestal sink with no room for even a bar of soap. New lighting and vanity would be spectacular. Our master bath needs a makeover!

Do I have to pick just one thing in my bathroom?? I have to say that the old, ugly, improperly laid vinyl tiles is the # 1 offender. I’m working on the walls & built in shelving in our master bath at the moment, but boy, oh, boy would I love to replace the fixtures in this overhaul!?!?!!

FIX ME! The one and only bathroom we have upstairs is just pathetic. Our house is 95 years old but a small update was done to the bathroom probably sometime in the past 15-20 years. We have builder grade vanity with a mirror that is the size of a sheet of paper, ugly paint, linoleum floors and tile in the tub/shower that I just don’t love. All items are more almond than white which drives me nuts and I would LOVE an update to that room!

Ugh, where to start? The broken and hideous mustard yellow wall tiles? The odd bumpout box built in the 60s to hide the plumbing? The ill-fitting louvered closet door retrofit thingy someone did long ago? The million layers of paint on the millwork? The tub that matches the hideous mustard tiles that is too small for any person over 3 feet tall? Yeah, it “needs work” to say the least.
