Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Fix Me! Well where do I start? We’re doing major renovations to our new home (not living there yet!) So the bathroom, well, it has a shower and a light fixture. That’s about it! Previously had a really hideous teal tile and brassy gold fixtures before we started ripping stuff out…

FIX ME!!! Our master bath is in serious need of being gutted and re-done. Faded counter tops from the skylight above, constant mold growth in the shower from the enclosed room with no windows, and an old gray jacuzzi that spurts out black specks everytime we turn it on (which is never anymore). We would love this to help with our remodel!

This would be amazing to win! Every single faucet in our house is either broken or leaking. We have wrenches on our broken shower knobs just to get them to turn on! I’m not sure what happened but the plastic knobs put into our house did not last long at all.

FIX ME! We moved back in December so we inhereted the master bathroom from the previous owners. Blue and marble tile, an ugly shelf vanity and brass fixtures. While we can’t afford to overhaul it now, new fixtures would be a nice update for the time being!

FIX ME! I need to fix my entire bathroom, but the worst offender is the towel holder that keeps falling off the wall, literally once a week. Its gotten to the point where we dont even try to put it back on the wall, its just sitting on the floor and the hand towel is draped over the sink.

FIX ME! We just moved into our first home and boy do we ever need a bathroom fix. We can temporarily overlook the “vintage” pink tile and the “move-able” sink counter top. We can’t live with the full-sized window INSIDE the shower and the privacy shower curtain in front of it that attacks you every time you’re trying to suds up. The whole bathroom needs an overhaul and this would really get us on our way to bathroom bliss.

    FIX ME!!

The previous owners of our house were DIYBNVG (Do It Yourself, But Not Very Good). They updated the faucet, shower head, and tub spout, but the handle was not secured! It falls off if you’re not careful with it. We haven’t figured out how it fix it without replacing the whole thing.

They also tiled the shower in our basement bathroom. I don’t even want to get started on the bad grout job!

… Where to start? The tub/shower combo is set diagonally into the room, wasting tons of space.. oh yeah, and it’s DARK BROWN. The vanity is old and gross. The sink is getting rusty and is missing the stopper, the shower knobs have icky soap scum in all their little plastic crevices, the floor tile is old and cracked, the toilet tank needs constant adjustment to get flushes… the bathroom is the biggest eyesore in our house right now by a country mile.

FIX ME! The tile in my master shower is laid out very oddly. One wall is tile on the bottom half and glass on the top, and the top of the tiled part has a line of half tiles. Wouldn’t it make sense for the half tiles to be along the bottom? And that wall’s tile doesn’t line up at all with the adjacent wall!

FIX ME! My bathroom in my fairly new (10 year old) house looks like it was decorated in 1989. All of the fixtures are what I call, shiny bright gold…but I think it’s technically brass. 2 ugly gold sink fixtures, giant jacuzzi tub faucet, shower door trim, shower fixtures, lights, towel bars, even the toilet flusher is GOLD! How everything else in the bathroom can be pretty (nice wall color, flooring, counter tops, vanity) and the fixtures be a nightmare is just a mystery to me. It really needs fixin’! ;)

Hm, let’s see the thing that needs to be fixed in our bathroom would be the 2 huge HOLES in the wall! We had a leaky shower and the plumber had to basically take down a wall to get at the leak. Maybe new fixtures will divert guests attention away from the holes until we fix it?!?!
