Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

From the perpetually dripping sink, to the layers of “royalty” wallpaper, to the DIY-of-nightmare’s-past “raising of the shower head, to the leaking toilet and the rusty 1992 gold fixtures, our bathroom cries “FIX ME”. Did I mention the pink counter and the broken shower handle? Ahh yes. They are screaming something as well. Please, please, FIX ME!

Fix Me!! We need to totally re-do our shower/tub. our shower has mould and cracked grout and it’s too small. our tub on the other hand is too big, you can’t fill it up before you run out of hot water. I’ve almost killed myself getting in/out of it that we don’t use it anymore. this would be a GREAT start!

    FIX ME!

Pretty much everything in our upstairs bathroom needs to go. The shower stall is yellowed plastic with broken doors and teensy. The vanity comes up to my husband’s knees and features a scallop-shaped sink (we live not at all close to the ocean). The floor is a white tile that always looks dirty. The fixtures are just blah.

This would give us a great start on the project!

Fix me! The original owner of my place was beginning renovations on several rooms but left before completion. I haven’t had time or the funds to fix everything! My shower tile doesn’t match the regular bathroom tile, the toilet is old & disgusting, the sink is outdated & too big for my already small bathroom. At least these fixtures would be a major upgrade from what I have now!

FIX ME! The faucet in our master bath needs to go first. It has constant drip syndrome. Of course, then I would want to replace the olive green floor tile. And wall tile. And toilet. And tub. And sink with faux “marble” counter. Seriously, it’s like 1967 green threw up in there. But you’ve got to start somewhere!

I’ve been planning a fix for our main bathroom for a while now which has all antique brass/goldish fixtures from the early 80’s and swag vanity lighting that looks like it snuck in from the 70’s, not to mention ugly 80’s oak cabinetry. Yuck! I like the Voss.

Oh where to start… the shower head that has disconnected from the wall, the faucet that drip, drip, drips all day long. The sink stopper that drains slow and has become rusted in place so we can’t even fix it. Oh and the light that no longer works so it is now a daylight only bathroom. Or maybe the cheap faux oak towel bars that were added by the previous owner to try and “match” the beautiful original oak trim in our 1920’s house.

We literally have only pipes in our basement bathroom…when we moved in it was plumbed, but nothing else! On the bright side, it’s nice to start a bathroom from scratch and not have to demo anything! And we have biiiig plans for it (think modern, white subway tile with a bright, primary color round tile accent border).

Um, the whole thing? We have one bathroom in the house, so we’ve been slow to try to fix it up, knowing the only bath in the house would be out of commission. But picture bad 80s ugly plastic tub surround, and a 50s vanity that needs refinished BADLY. Those are the goals to fix up in the next year!
