Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

We have a plastic drop in shower in our master bathroom and it’s not doing well. We’ve had to replace the floor once because it cracked and was leaking water. I just want to get rid of it and get beautiful tiles all over the place!

FIX ME! I recently moved into a new/old house after a divorce and losing two houses. I am super pumped that we have a roof over our heads and a great neighborhood for my kids, but the house I bought needs a ton of love. The upstairs boys bathroom is completely trashed. 1980’s vanity and fixtures (faux marble I guess was the Bomb back then) moldy grout everywhere, old swanky tub,old oak trim and water stained DIY flooring which consists of more caulk and grout than actual tile.. I want to fix this space up for my kids and give them a fresh start in the morning with a clean, happy bathroom :0 This giveaway would be some welcome help and a definite bright spot after a pretty rough year! ( I know pull out the violins), but it’s all true and we would be very grateful!!! :)

My hall bathroom has a new-ish toilet and sink (that is white), but the bathtub is harvest gold…and not even tile, it’s the one piece molded tub enclosure. I mean, we HAVE only lived in the house for 20 years – we’ll change it eventually! (especially if I win!)

    Fix Me!!

Our guest (also children’s) bath is original to our house, built in 1974. It’s very blue, as in, blue mosaic floor tiles that are coming unglued on a daily basis, blue wall and tub tiles, blue tub, blue toilet, blue soap and toothbrush holders, and a blue and white laminate “marble” vanity. The faucets are all originals too. Our master bath is actually worse, but at least it is only me and my hubs that get to look at it!

in addition to very 80’s architecture, in the master bath we have swinging doors enclosing the toilet area. Its as if the toilet is a wild west saloon!

    Fix Me Please!
Our bathrooms are original to the house (1956) and not in good condition. Our shower faucet was leaking behind the wall for at least a year before we found out and then had to get it replaced with a single faucet handle because the separate hot and cold knob parts were so outdated that they couldn’t be replaced. Now we have two holes in our tile where the old faucet handles used to be and have put duct tape over them until we can afford to replace the tile! The bathroom sink faucet is corroding and continues to drip. The tiles on the wall are cracked and the tile floor is raised in one area which has caused the tile to separate from the rest of the floor and the grout to fall out! We also have an old toilet which has leaked and caused damage to the sub-floor. We really need all the help we can get!

FIX ME! Our home is a mid century modern that little by little is becoming everything we hoped it could be…well, except for our master shower. The folks we bought our house from were all about DIY. Sometimes good DIY and sometimes really (italicized) bad DIY. The master shower is one of those really bad jobs. It needs a facelift in a major way. Whew! This would be one step closer to completing our awesome house!

    FIX ME!!! Please!

Ah, well, I rent, but I’ve been where I am for awhile so I wouldn’t mind updating things. What most needs work is updating the old pistachio green tile, especially in the shower where it is starting to come off.

However, I’d be tempted to donate the prize to my sister and her soon to be husband. They’ve been building a house, trying to get it down from their own pocket (no loan) before the trailer they are in completely falls apart. To top it off, they are getting married next month, so it’s been tough getting it all together for them. They’re hoping to be in by winter, but who knows. Something like this would be quite helpful to them and probably be something that brightens their mood a little instead of stressing completely about everything.

FIX ME! We have a bathroom with a falling-apart shower, and tile from the 1940s. The vanity is 1980s, and the old mirror, while pretty art deco and groovy, is chipped. Plus, in the entire bathroom we only have one (ONE!) outlet.

First world problems, I suppose :)

FIX ME….Oh dear, where to start….
The bathroom needs a lot but first and foremost it needs better ventilation to keep the mold at bay. Other than that we could use sinks that are higher so that we don’t have to bend over to brush our teeth, and mirrors that are higher so we don’t have to stoop over to look into the mirror.

FIX ME!!!! My husband is a general contractor and does kitchen and bathroom remodels constantly, so naturally he has an aversion to doing any such work in our house on his weekends :) which means that our bathroom still has the white tile and brown grout combo from when it was built in ’76. Maybe having some beautiful faucets and hardware will distract from the hideousness of our shower.
