Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

FIX ME! Our little Virginia colonial was built in 1950 and the bathroom is still all original! It’s a tiny bath room that I share with my husband and three boys, so it could use some spice!

    “FIX ME”

Our hall bathroom is tiled with, what looks like, marbles. Honest. There are hundreds of little round marbles(they also look like the glass beads you put in the bottom of fish bowls) set into the dingy nasty grout. It hurts to stand on, and is the WORST to clean. I have no idea what the previous owners were thinking! That along with a stained toilet, a leaky pedestal sink, and rusted light fixtures and hardware. They obviously redid the bathroom, but the did it SO badly! We can’t wait to get it looking sweet! Thanks for the chance to win!

Our bathroom has those lovely builder-grade faucets that accumulate some sort of black gung right where the water comes out. Not to mention it leaks onto the countertop. And our shower has some freaky showerhead that on an arm that does not stay up so you have to hold the showerhead while trying to rinse out your hair.

FIX ME!! Our master bath is old and dated! I would love to get rid of the brass fixtures that are spread throughout the room! We have slowly started getting rid of all the brass in our entire house….it is a slow process and the Masterbath is last on our list because we are the only ones that see it (everyday….), so needless to say it could really use some nice new fixtures!

    FIX ME!!

In my master bathroom, the sliding door of the shower goes right up against the edge of the vanity–so you can’t actually open the door because of the towel bar on the outside. Talk about poor planning. We can’t wait to upgrade the entire room.

My husband and I are closing on our first home in 3 short weeks. We are both young architects with big dreams, but unfortunately, very little cash. We are planning on renovating the kitchen and both bathrooms to bring the 1913 Foursquare into the 21st century!

    FIX ME!

Just this past week, my husband and I signed the contract for our first home. We are so very excited as this house is everything we wanted! The master bathroom leaves a lot of be desired though, and the showerhead is quite hideous. I would love a shiny new rainshower showerhead for our new home.

FIX ME! Actually, my space is not functional at all, so I have quite a few changes I’m saving toward. That said, I’ll be most excited to 1) get rid of the mint/plum color scheme and 2) find a smaller tub and sink to reclaim a few inches. :)

FIX ME! Our master bathroom’s #1 problem is that it is TOO TINY! I’ve never seen such a small space in a MBR… The #2 problem is that everything is brass (well, half of everything – we started DIY’ing but never finished).

FIX ME!! Oh please oh please! My bathroom shower has no tile so every time i shower, the paint gets wet and peels away. The way the bathroom is shaped makes it impossible to have a regular shower curtain rod in there, so i’ve rigged a curved one with PVC piping. Oh it’s such a sad bathroom. There is only one towel bar, which is inside the shower…It makes no sense!!! There are sticky remnants on the back of the door of the old robe hooks which appear to have been little plastic hooks that might have held up a sock. I’ll stop there! :)

It’s a “jack & jill” separated into 2 sides with a pocket door and 2 entrances like 3 feet away from each other. Completely unecessary. It needs a complete do-over. One day!!! :)

FIX ME! It is hard to choose what I hate most about my master bathroom. If I had to pick one thing it would be the ugly forest green tile on the floor. It is ugly on it’s own but when wet it also becomes deadly. Our bathroom has the only bathtub in the house and with two small wiggly kids it is difficult to keep them still and not sliding all over the floor after a bath. Ugh… I hate those tiles!
