Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME

The tile countertops on our vanity must go! Plus, our shower tiles are not properly sloped for drainage, leaving hard water stains from the standing water near the drain!

We’re in need of another bathroom altogether, as we only have one. Perhaps if we win we’ll have the motivation to add a second into our basement. :)

“FIX ME!” We just bought a new (old) house and the master bathroom is in the middle of being remolded. The drywall is missing around the tub and where the shower used to be. The paint is so dark that the room feels like a cave, and the lights are horrible. We definitely have a huge project ahead of us!

Oh, our bathroom! We live in a small 1920s condo with only one bathroom, so DIY fixing to great lengths presents a few “logistic” issues during repairs. We already tackled a new toilet, which was step #1 of what hopes to be a major change. We have a shiny new throne, and it begs to have some contemporary company and modernized efficiencies. Ideally, we’d love to update the sink and shower fixtures and all tile to make the transformation complete. Step by step! This Moen gift would make our bathroom hopes and dreams so much more obtainable. Woohoo!

    FIX ME!
The 90s re-do of our master bath is showing its age and its status as a BAD DIY project. The drywall seams are showing, the hot water part of the faucet doesn’t work, and worst of all, there is a giant safety pin that seems to be serving some electrical function in regard to the light over the shower (we are not using that light–looks too dangerous)!

What is in the most desperate need of an update? Where do I begin? I could give you a laundry list of necessary bathroom updates, but instead, I’ll just say “tile” job…it’s not actually tile, but some sort of vinyl tile-like covering that I could live with if it were in its original bright white state. But instead, it has been poorly painted over in a dingy cream-ish color. Ick.

FIX ME: Yikes!! Everything in my master bath is in desperate need of replacement….faucets, tile, lights, towel bars, you name it! The faucets are (supposed to be) shiny gold circa 1993 except that the clear finish has come off of them so they are a combo of shiny gold and tarnished yuckiness. It’s horrible and embarrassing! I just moved in to the house this summer as a newly-single mom, and there is so much that needs to be done. My faucets are functional but just not pretty so they are way down on the list to be replaced. I’d loooove to win this!!
