Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME!
We bought our home in Jan of this year and we’ve redone one of the bathrooms, but have one to go! The house was built in 1988 and everything was original. I’m talking wood trim, laminate flooring and “marble” sink top. I would LOVE to get some help on that bathroom so we can push it to the top of our list. It’s the only bathroom on our second floor so it’s our guest/master bath and we’d love to be able to fix it up sooner than later!

FIX ME!! Our master bathroom is a 1992 contractor grade special. The vanity is hid-e-us! And all the fixtures are crusted over with years of hard water stains (and ugly to begin with). The floor is nasty linoleum. It badly needs a makeover!

My tub faucet leaks and stains the white tub blue! (I wonder what chemical is in the water that it leaves a blue streak – water that I also drink!). My tub is original to the condo, 1957, and could really use resurfaced.

our extra bathroom was built in the 70’s and is in bad need of repair and fixing. The shower tiles are hideous and broken. Nasty carpet that needs replacing and super-dated light and sink fixtures.

Our bathroom is only a couple of years old but I am in the process of changing it from cookie cutter to something more of our style. One of the things I planned to do is upgrade the fixtures, so this would be perfect!

We are getting around to the master bath – its an odd horseshoe shape with two tiny doors, but kitchen had to come first (it was REALLY bad).

Everything is uneven and used to be ivory 30 years ago, meaning almost tan now. Yuck!!

    Fix Me Please!!!

Our master bath is HIDEOUS!!! Bad Caribbean blue flat paint, stained cultured marble countertops, light fixtures that broke and fell on my head, bad grout with mold embedded in it – you name it, our bathroom has it! We had just saved up the money to redo it this fall, but our little dog ended up needing knee surgery to repair a congenital defect, so she is sporting a fancy new bionic leg and we are still sporting the awful, awful bathroom!

    FIX ME!

Everything in my bathroom needs to be updated. For real. The whole room is tiled, a lot of them have cracks. The tiles in good condition need to be regrouted. The fixtures are old, falling apart and just overall ick. The basket weave floor is a wreck. The toilet gives us problems on a daily basis. And the sink cabinet seems to be falling apart. Sigh.

FIX ME! Our bathroom doesn’t look too bad at first glance, but it definitely needs a new paint job, and I’d love to redo our shower. The previous owners “renovated” with a cheapie shower liner that doesn’t like to stay attached to the wall. I really want to know what 1970s monstrosity is lurking underneath that liner… Also, they put in new trim, and I think they bought the pre-primed stuff and just never painted it.

“FIX ME” I am so tired of looking at our out-dated, ugly bathroom. It has a brass tub fixture that must be 40 years old and will NOT stop leaking. Somebody put one of those cheap, horrible-looking vinyl tub surrounds on the wall. I don’t even begin to know how to get it off. I think it might take a pick axe. The tub is puke beige. Then I really, really need guidance in use of space because it is sooo tiny. You can’t sit down where you need to sit down without banging your knees on the tub. Arrgh!
