Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME!!!

My bathroom is pretty desperate. The detachable shower head falls off every time we turn the water on, the stuck shower door tries to come off its track every time it’s opened, the trim is coming off the bottom of the vanity, the tile is cracked at the base of the toilet and the light fixture is positioned so poorly that I put my makeup on in the bedroom so that I can see my face without shadows! We’re saving our pennies for a remodel and this would help sooooo much.

My bathroom is TERRIBLE! The tiny shower has cracked tiles all over and isn’t working. Our old blue toilet has duct tape holding the toilet seat together. The sink is cracked and the rusted mirror over it doesn’t stay closed (its of the 60’s medicine cabinet variety). Needless to say it is currently used as storage, but would really be nice if we could use it!

FIX ME! The list of needed updates in our *only* bathroom is very long! We have a moldy window inside the shower (that is going to be fixed very soon), cracked and outdated tile, a TINY pedestal sink, and a medicine cabinet mirror that is so low my husband has to squat in order to shave! Eeek!

Our master bathroom shower has those horrible sliding glass doors on a track. It is the bane of my existence as I cannot seem to ever get the tracks or door clean enough. If $ was no expense, I’d rip the whole thing out and install a fully tiled open walk-in shower with no doors. Ahhh….

Fix me! My bathroom was shakey when I bought the house 24 years ago! I’ve limped it along with paint/wallpaper/borders (yep, that’s what we did in the 90’s!) and finally had the money for the remodel when my daughter announced she was getting married this summer. What’s one more coat of paint? No more border, a new shower curtain and plans for summer of 2013 remodel! But I still have another daughter so who knows!

We would love to redo our hallway bathroom that has mustard yellow tub and toilet with matching floral wallpaper :) Right now it’s the bathroom our 17month old son uses but with another little one on the way, we would love to redo the bathroom before her arrival!

Fix Me!!! We’ve got two tiny, tiny bathrooms in desperate need of pretty much everything. The downstairs bath has tile walls which are nice enough until you take a look at the colors: a light, minty green and two different and clashing shades of yellow. The upstairs bath features the world’s tiniest shower; it fits my 7 year old – barely. (He’d also be the first to tell you that he’d really like to have a tub/shower up there that has a drain stopper so he can go swimming.)Needless to say, the joint needs some classing up :)!

FIX ME!!! Out bathroom is the most dreaded part of our entire 1933 home!! The worst part.. The shower. Lets just take “a shower in the life of an Ashlie” to detail this pain in my neck. Wake up, squeE through the narrow hallway of a bathroom, pull out SEVERAL bathmats because we know all too well the leaking this baby is capable of . Hop in and grab the magnets off the top rim, yea magnets. Put them on the bottom of the shower curtain to hold it to the tub instead o clinging to your shaving cream covered leg. Try to adjust the water temperature from scalding to mildly burning by shoving the handy dandy washcloth into the side of the faucet to try to make the faucet handles from slowly turning on full hotness. If you want to avoid the washcloth Or forgot one all together you can always do the flamingo and stand with one leg behind you holding the handle in place. On to actually washing yourself ans your hair . Shove youraelf up the shower head and be sure to stand snug with the wall so the 3 inch water circumfrence actually hits you . After shoving the flailing curtain back to its proper spot and using several mild profanities undo the magnets which will inevitably stick together and take you ten minutes to undo because of course they are super strong when you don’t want them to be. Jump out and dry off…the floor that is. Then yourself and wrap up in a cozy little kid towel because your boys took the big ones. Ahhh sooo relaxing. Can’t wait to do it again!

And although that’s the worst part it’s definitely not the only sucky part. The old “but it’s super bright” says the husband vanity light that is old NOT in a good way. The plug in the sink that just works overtime and plugs every time we turn the water on. And of course my diet plan hallway that threatens me every time with “don’t gain weight or you won’t make it to the toilet”. And who would want that? I mean I can soak my feet in the tub and wash my hands at the same time as sitting in that toilet. No I h e not really tried that.

I really need some new bathroom goodness!!!!!!!!
