Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Fix me! Our main bathroom is in dire need of being gutted and remodeled. But the most pressing problem in there is the shower, that has old tile from the 50’s, rusted out fixtures, and lots of other bad “things”. Am presently trying to budget just getting the shower replaced and new fixtures, so these gifts would come in very very handy. Thanks.

    FIX ME!

Our bathrooms are cursed with the dreaded cheap builder grade fixtures. The kind that you feel horrible replacing cause the work decently, yet are way to cheap and ugly to keep. I’m also replacing all the fixtures in my inlaws house that I just gutted the bathroom in, and that bath could use them even more! (pink and magenta tile with metallic butterfly wallpaper covering EVERY surface, ceiling, door, and molding included!)

Our master bath has the oldest, dinkiest double sink vanity and mirror situation. The faucets are actually kitchen faucets and they each have one of those sprayer attachments. Who needs that in a bathroom!? Can not wait to renovate.

We bought our first house last April and began dreaming about what we could update/change to make it our own, but just like many of us, financially, we could only do a little at a time. We had a home warranty the first year and what do you know, come May (1 month after it expired) we noticed a leak in our garage (directly beneath our bathtub). At this point I was 9 months pregnant and my husband was about to graduate Nursing school. We could do nothing but laugh at the timing!
As we began to chip away tiles, which yes our loving eyes had overlooked the brown grout (it was originally white), we noticed that the entire bathroom had water damage and we had to completely gut the entire thing. At first we thought it was the wall to the left of the shower head, but it turned out to be the entire shower and entire br sub floor. We thank God we noticed it!
Inspired by the YHL blog we decided to redo the br ourselves, with the help of my husband’s Mother and Brother, because we had never done anything like this before. Right around the time we made this decision, we had our little baby boy, Nolan, so the bathroom is not quite done yet. With a new baby and a hubby trying to find a nursing job, financially, redoing the bathroom has been a difficult task.
We just completed the tiling of the shower and have dry-walled the entire bathroom. We are in serious need of fixtures for the shower, a new toilet (it was part of the problem), and currently do not have a vanity (we had to tear it out due to the sub floor)– we have several needy bathroom areas :) This would be such an amazing addition to our new bathroom and would help us out so much! Thanks for taking the time to listen!

FIX ME! Our bathroom sink has recently started to rust around the drain hole. I’m not sure if it’s the sink or the drainplug thingie. Either way, it’s gross gross gross — I can clean it with rust cleaner, but it comes back within days. At the very least, we need a new sink — and if we’re doing that, I’d love to change the countertop (ugly green tile) and then we’d need new floors, and what the heck, let’s just update the whole bathroom!

fix me, PLEASE! we’ve lived in our house for 3 years now, and our ONE full bath has been a disaster the whole time. we’re currently waiting to hear back from our contractor about the remodel; i’m hoping it’ll commence in the next month or two. the worst part(s) of our bathroom? (1) it’s a tunnel, really not functional for more than one person; (2) the ceiling is peeling, which lets mold grow in all those little crevices; (3) everything is old. maybe even original to the 1945 house? (i saw our sink on an episode of Mad Men, only theirs was in good condition…
