Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    FIX ME!

The linoleum in our master bath. White lino shows everything. We’ve already pulled it up in the guest bath and painted the subfloor with a stencil and it looks great! We just have to make time to do that in the master bath.

FIX ME! I live in a NYC studio apartment from 1950 and my faucet takes the strength of the hulk to turn on. The rest of my bathroom was a DIY project and instead of replacing the dirty tile, I regrouted and it did the trick…for now :)

I’d love to be rid of the wainscoting in our bathroom. Unfortunately, it’s mounted over plaster and lathe walls in the only bathroom in our house – and I’m not brave enough to attempt that one! But what I wouldn’t give for some clean white subway tile…

    FIX ME!!!

I barely know where to start! We have two bathrooms in our new house which are badly in need of makeovers. From 80s fixtures to a rust hole in the tub, we’ve got some work cut out for us. At least the last owner left a giant sticker of a fake Tuscan countryside view to keep us entertained until we can redo the whole kit and caboodle! :)

FIX ME! My husband and I just bought a new home last Friday and are very quickly learning that we need to figure out how to DIY, and how to DIY fast! The home is beautiful but needs some real TLC – especially the master bath. Picture walking through time into the early 80s. Bad quality paint job, the fixtures are older than I am, and turning on the shower head requires some serious yanking… I am afraid I am going to pull it off the wall every time! Not to mention the shower and toilet are both ancient and have not aged gracefully, to say the least. We have big dreams for this room, but it’s going to take some serious work – and beginning with some beautiful fixtures would be the perfect start!

Not sure what the builder was thinking (I wasn’t involved since I bought my home used), but my master bath is too big and the adjacent walk-in closet too little. I’d much rather use the additional space in the bathroom for the closet! Big fix though and not enough money :(

FIX ME! Ummmm what doesn’t need to be fixed? Bought our home a year ago and the upstairs bath has been “updated” with travertine tile that is cracked (it even has a 1 inch hole cut through so you can peak down to the basement… no clue why!) The shower head moves all around because it’s attached to that plastic piping with no stabilizer. Don’t know what they were thinking there! The basement bath has a toilet. Yep that’s it… a toilet. Our plan is to re-do the basement one first so that we at all times have a functioning shower/ toilet/ sink combo. Right now we’re just saving up for the changes… This prize would help us get on it a bit sooner!!

    Fix Me!

Me, me, me!!! Our 1952 rancher’s master bath is a makeshift torture chamber. It is literally 6’x 5.5′ and that includes a 4’x 2′ shower stall, a miniature vanity and a normal size toilet (do they make them non-standard size? hmm?). I won’t even go into the fact that it is currently med. grey tile on the walls with a BURGUNDY accent cap and footer, grey and burgundy tile floor, yet the shower stall is white tile. It is part of our short term plan to build a new bath and this would allow us to do it even sooner. So as Meredith Grey says: “choose me, love me”!!!

She has 2 very small bathrooms that she would like make 1… the hall bathtub doesn’t work, the back bedrrom bathroom has a teeny-tiny shower that one can just about turn around in.
