Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

Our downstairs bath needs some help. It’s small and narrow with three different kind of tile all trying to work together – and sorry to tell them, it’s just not working. Plus the vanity and large sink make the whole thing seem even smaller. Definitely need to freshen it up!

Fix me! My half bath is in desperate need of a mirror that I can see into…the old owners must have been super tall because medicine cabinet/mirror hangs really high on the wall! I want to move the mirror from my hall bath into the half bath, then install a new cabinet in the hall. Just need to talk the hubs into it someday soon…

FIX ME! Oh, this is perfect timing! We met with a contractor last week and received a quote for bathroom remodel yesterday (Monday)!

We have a tile issue in the shower. The grout has given out and the tiles are loose. I’m scared of what’s happening behind there.

We’ll be ripping that out, putting in a glass enclosure, adding wainscotting and other woodwork, adding a stone top to the tube, and updating paint, molding, etc.

Fix me! Our house was built in 1923 and we have been painstakingly restoring the bathrooms. The most egregious was the teeny tiny half bathroom carved out of a small coat closet on the first floor. You could literally sit on the toilet and do everything (wash hands, turn on the light, shut and open the door). God help the person would who walk throught the exterior door into that hallway while a man was using the restroom…cause there was certainly no room to stand in there with the door closed! Needless to say, I was not okay with doing your business in the closet, so that bathroom was one of the first things we gutted (and moved to a better location!)

Fix me! Our bathroom shows all of its true colors, literally! There are signs of change from many poorly done paint jobs over the previous years, including different shades of purples and yellows…along the corners and the celling, inside the peeling door frame. The door was never even painted, (obviously it was replaced somewhat recently) the tiles on the wall don’t match the the tiles on the floor, and all the fixtures are brass, (except for the doorknob, of course). Instead of feeling refreshed after my morning shower, I feel… confused. Yes. We have some fixing to do around here.

We are right in the middle of re-doing out upstairs bathroom and it is not going very well. We hired a contractor, who has done an awful job. Although we love DIY, we knew we did not have the time or know-how to take on the project, but now I wish we had just tried because we would have done a much better job.

FIX ME! Our bathroom taps need an emergency fix. The hot and cold water knobs were put on the wrong water lines, so when you turn the “hot water” tap on, cold water comes out and vice versa. Plus! You can’t turn the water on too much or else, water comes spraying out from every possible direction. You are basically getting an upper body shower, instead of what should be a simple hand wash.

BONUS! The most DESPERATE need for an update, eh? Where do I even start…I would have to say our mismatched, cracked bathroom tiles. While it does give our bathroom that Renaissance look, I would prefer to get with the times and rip them all out so that we could have one-uniform and modern look.
