Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

My shower stall is one of those cheap plastic molded things that you glue together and VOILA! you’ve got a shower! It gets moldy easily, and if you don’t have the shower curtain just right, you get water on the wall & floor. I would like to rip it all out and tile a surround (and replace the tub) but don’t really have the money to do that as of yet. $250 dollars would totally help!

Seems like bathrooms are one of the last rooms to be touched in updates, ours included. I think it most desperately needs a new shower. Besides being ugly, the door has a layer of permanent gunk no amount of cleaning can lift and the leak at the bottom is damaging to the floor. I vote we put in a bath tub! :)

We’re in the process of doing some remodeling and updating to get our home ready to sell in the spring and our master bath is in desperate need of help. Our biggest problem is the tub. It’s a fiber glass tub that is cracked and disgusting. We plan to replace the tub with a soaking tub and the new fixtures would be lovely to add to the whole new look. Pick me, pretty please! :)

Fix Me! My entire bathroom needs fixing. The toilet don’t flush even after putting all new things in the tank. One sink leaks from the faucet and the other one doesn’t work at all. The flooring is from the 1950’s. The door doesn’t lock due to it is a handicap door and lock is in the wall. I just want a functioning bathroom!!

My whole bathroom needs some love and attention. Everything is original from 1991 and kinda gross. The most obnoxious thing, in my opinion, is how you turn the shower on. It starts off nice and normal by turning the handle above the spout to the left, but then you have to pop a little piece in the spout down to get the shower going. I always have to give guests a lesson on how to use it. Oh, and the tub itself is really gross. There’s a divide or whatever just above where the tub itself is and the shower walls, and it is the nastiest collection of mildew and mold ever. AND there’s no way to get it ALL out without tearing everything down!

FIX ME! Our home’s previous owners decided to put in a full third bathroom in the basement and never got around to finishing it before selling, or ran out of money, or aliens put a force field around the framed shower stall with crooked plumbing. Now we are stuck with breaking up the concrete to center the drain pipe and re-installing the copper water pipes. While we are at it, we may knock down the framing entirely and install a quarter round shower stall. New fancy fixtures would be great since we’ll probably be broke by the time we get around to choosing them. :-)
