Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    Fix me

My whole bathroom needs an update. The fiberglass on the tub wore so thin that there are tiny holes in it. I would love a new vanity with beautiful faucets. The whole bathroom is looking tired it’s definitely time for an update.

Our bathroom is next on the list of house projects. It is a combo of 1970’s fixtures and 1980’s wallpaper….did I mention the previous owners also wallpapered the back of the door to the bathroom??

Fix me! Well, our master bath still has the old sweet metal tipped medicine cabinet of yore. It makes a lovely creak when you open it, which is hopefully not while the children are asleep! Needless to say, that bathroom could use new paint, new fixtures and definitely a new sink/faucet combo!

FIX ME… my bathroom is the orginal 1960s bathroom in pink. All pink tiles on the floor and walls and the sink. Luckily at some point someone had to switch out the pink toilet. The walls are also painted with pink brush strokes because nothing goes better with pink than pink.

Our entire bathroom is in need of an update, especially the sink faucet. The original people that installed put it on backwards, so you dont pull the handles towards you to turn the water on, you push them away from you. It’s very awkward, and guests are always confused by it. And there is not one single electrical outlet in that bathroom, so we’d love to add one!

    FIX ME!!

We have renovated the bathrooom our visitors use, neglecting the bathroom we use due to money constraints. The shower is HIDEOUS! It is a 70s harvest gold monster, it makes me want to stay in bed in the morning. The hot water handle rarely works correctly and the faucets are crusty and nasty.

    FIX ME! PLEASE HELP!

Fix me! We built our house a few years ago, but of course now we wish we’d changed the layout. We realized that we’re not tub people and we put in a huge garden tub “for resale value” even though this is our forever home. We’d change that tub to a huge walk-in shower and change the stall shower to a much needed linen closet for additional storage.

    FIX ME!

We bought our house in April and nothing in the house has been touched since the 80’s. Except the bathroom which hasn’t been touched since the early 70’s! The wallpaper, the vanity, the Hollywood lights, the mirrors… I could keep going but I have to go in there to take a shower soon and don’t want to depress myself any more!

Our bathroom is just sad. Our floor tiles are those cute hexigon shapes. Which while they look great in other people’s bathrooms, they don’t in ours. The owners who installed them, never sealed the grout, so no matter how many times I scrub the floor, it never looks clean. And then there is the sink. The vanity was custom made by the previous owners. And it just doesn’t look right. The sink is the old shell shaped sink, and the vanity again is tiled and never sealed so it never looks clean.
Then they put this great linen closet in, it’s one of those tall kitchen cabinets you get at Home Depot. Well it it about 6 inches off the floor, nothing fits under it. I have to get on my hands and knees to clean it.
Our bathroom is the only room in the house that we haven’t worked on. It’s hopefully our next project.

    “FIX ME”

The only room in my house that I have not gutted and renovated is my guest bathroom! It has a gorgeous claw foot tub, but that’s where the beauty ends! You can’t sit on the toilet without your knees smashed into the side of the tub. The flooring is 60s laminate and the not a single fixture matches. What a mess! I could definitely use some help getting this project started!
