Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

    Fix me, pretty please!

My bathroom was owned by a inexperienced DIY’er who thought plastering the wall with glue and vinyl squares was a brilliant idea. When I bought my house, half were peeling off. I have removed them all, sanded, and repainted. Now my bathroom needs lovely new hardware! Please, pretty please. :)

    FIX ME

My toilet paper holder is in desperate need of replacing (along with the vanity which looks like it was pulled from the kitchen and plopped down in the bathroom). That toilet paper holder has a super amped up spring in it and the brackets were installed a little too far apart so it constantly slips and the rod shoots across the bathroom! I left it this was for the longest time because I found it entertaining but it scares the man of the house and he’s beginning to refuse to put the toilet paper on the holder (super big pet peeve). It’s an easy fix but seeing as it’s installed on the vanity which I intend to replace, I’m having a hard time getting to that task.

Our bathtub faucet leaks. Arghh! My husband and I are pretty handy, so we would usually try to fix it ourselves but it’s a jacuzzi tub and they didn’t leave an access panel. Our summer has been so full of other projects that we don’t have the time, energy and money to tackle the job of repairing it properly. A new faucet would be just the motivation we need! Maybe we’ll do something about the cracked floor tiles while we’re at it. Ha ha!!

    FIX ME!

Where to start?! Our guest bathroom upstairs resembles that of a cave, thanks to the no-window situation it is rocking and the small/dimly lit light fixture that is currently gracing the room with its presence. The previous owners also couldn’t get enough of the color “Almond” and had everything in the room done up in that color – toilet, tub, sink, walls, outlets, etc. The most interesting part about the bathroom? The piece of baseboard/trim that the previous owners placed on the floor in front of the tub… not on the tub for decoration. Literally laid one piece of trim on the floor to hold the laminate down? Or maybe it is the lovely GREEN countertops and awkward layout that should be addressed… Yeah… the list could go on and on.

Our house was built in the 1940’s and still has that same bathroom! The tile is the same as the tile in every other house in our town (that hasn’t been remodeled)and although it’s in excellent shape, our sink/vanity needs to be replaced and the tub fixtures are OLD!!

We just bought a money pit built in 1972. Strong bones that need a massive face lift. The guest bath is a “beautiful” gold – the kids bath handles come off in your hand – and the master bath needs to be gutted. Also, not one bathroom in the house has a toilet roll holder – how odd is that?? Thank you!
