A couple of weeks ago we asked our Facebook fans to share pictures of their pets (since we talk incessantly about Burger) and got an awesome response – over 100 photos and links of their four-legged friends (which you can browse right here under Fan Photos). So we figured a giveaway geared towards your pooches (and meowsers) was in order. Enter AllModernPet.com stage right…

One lucky pet parent will win their choice of an awesome easy-on-the-eyes bed so their furry family member can sleep in style (and your pup’s “bedroom” can be as stylish as your own).

Our dog, Milo, will pace back and forth, and forth and back if something is in his favorite sleeping spot. He loves to sleep under my antique commode. It has a sofa right next to it, so to get under there is a tight squeeze. He’s a skinny, but medium sized dog, so it isn’t easy. But that’s his favorite spot.

DOGGONE IT! If Buddy, our little pomeranian/spaniel/papillon mix isn’t sleeping on his back with his paws straight up in the air, then he can usually be found dozing under our baby’s highchair (where he also has easy access to food droppings) or with his head under the coffee table. It’s quite funny to walk by and see what appears at first glance to be a headless dog!!

Our little Jack falls asleep in a number of crazy places around the apartment, but it’s always fun to find him sleeping at the foot of the stairs with his chin propped on the first step. :)

Goocher likes to stretch out on something soft and, if on the bed, prefers to lay his head on the pillow like a person. If it weren’t for the licking and tail-wagging, you might forget that he is a dog. :-)

Our havanese has discovered “dens” all over the house. She makes herself at home in her kitchen den (under the banquet table,) her office den (in the bottom computer desk cubby next to the cpu,) her den den (under an end table,) or her bedroom den (under the bed.)

We have two kitties: Guinness and Vincent. It’s not where Guinness sleeps it’s how he sleeps that is adorable- he sleeps on his back just like I’ve seen dogs do. I’ve never had a cat sleep like that before! Vincent will sleep on any hard surface… right now he’s snoozing in the space between the wall and the laptop- all I see is ears and feet. :)

Kafka, our german shorthaired pointer, likes to sleep either with his face resting on the window sill OR (his fave) under the covers, between my husband and I with his feet between our faces. since he’s now 60 pounds, we only allow the latter on EXTRA SPECIAL occasions.

When Sophie was a bit younger (and smaller) she slept under my kitchen table. Now she likes to sleep on the top of the stairs so she doesn’t miss the possible action up or down stairs of our split level home.

Not unusual, but my dog, Rosie, won’t sleep anywhere but MY bed. Occasionally, she’ll curl up in her own, but after half an hour or so, she’ll jump onto my bed. I think the dog whisperer would have something to say about that, but she’s just too darn cute to resist!

We have 5 dogs (a bassett hound, a min-pin, a mini-dachshund and two toy chihuahuas) and their favorite place to sleep at night … is on me! We have a king size bed (thank goodness) and all the dogs seem to congregate around me and leave my husband alone. I often wake up and find at least one of the dogs aleep on me. One morning I woke up with one dog on my back, one under my knees, two either side of me and one just above my head on the pillow.

Our jack russell/fox terrier cross will often fall asleep on my husbands shoulders while we watch tv (and when she was a puppy while he was driving around our region for work), if there is a throw pillow she will sleep on it, for the longest time she would nap in the corner between our subwoofer and big, comfy chair… she was rudely awoken more than once because she was hidden from sight!

We have a couple of laptop tables that sit in our living room. The table sits about six inches above the top of the sofa when it’s right up next to it. The other day I came in and found Miles laid out on the sofa, with his head resting on the top of the table. It was the most awkward position I’ve ever seen. There’s no way he was comfortable.

The weird places my cat likes to sleep in is the sink, any kind of grocery bag or store bag (whether it’s too big or too small for him), my school backpack, and I recently found him sleeping in a case made for water bottles.
My dog likes to sleep anywhere on the floor but on his back with all fours in the air. It’s quite comical :)
