It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

My regular obsession has always been a soft green, I once painted my room in high school a color called “New Peas” and it remains one of my favorite shades. Our living room is gray, however, so we’re trying to brigten it up with yellow accents everywhere.

I would LOVE this gift card because my husband and I are in the process of purchasing our first home. We are IN LOVE with a completely restored 1921 house on a sweet little street in our new town. It’s so inviting and charming and totally screams “us.” It just needs a little autumnal sun-warmth yellow added to it here and there…we’ll see! :)

My Best Friend loves Chartreuse! She got married 3 years ago and used chocolate brown and chartreuse and canary yellow as her colors. It sounded weird at first but when I saw the finished product it was totally awesome! Now her entire house is shades of chartreuse (except the nursery is a diff color green with teal, taupe, choc brown & white accents), turquoise and chocolate. Her kitchen is chartreuse with crisp white cabinets with stainless & black accents. It is AWESOME!
