It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

It USED to be aqua popping up in every room, however since painting our rooms, it’s yellow in the front room, gold/bronze/brushed nickel in the rest of the house.
Since our trim is dark walnut/almost expresso we’re going with shiny surfaces to reflect light around the rooms as well.

COLOR ME! I love yellow. I used it for my spring living room, summer living room, and now by adding oranges and reds to the mix, it is incorporated in my autumn living space. I think it’s my favorite color these days.

Color me! And please oh please let me win!! I’m working on a bedroom makeover and this would help sooo much! As for colors, yellow is the color I usually gravitate towards. It’s just so happy and cheerful! I love it paired with turquoise or gray (or both!). Lately I’ve been loving green and gray though, so I’m all over the place!
