Fab Freebie: Colorful Goods

Since we maxed out on entries less than 24 hours into the giveaway, we thought we’d go ahead and crown our winner. Random.org has selected… Jen W. (who’s long had a love affair with the color grey, but has lately been drawn to cheery yellows lately). Congrats!

It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

    I am loving and using tons of blue shades lately, especially the light blue and red combo!

    COLOR ME!!! Grey is making me happy lately. I have painted a few rooms in our house grey and I love how everything pops off this neutral, especially teals.

    Really, anything but beige since I’m in an apartment and am afraid to paint…but if forced to choose, I’d say I tend to pick blues and greens.

    And my apartment! White walls, beige carpet, brown and white furniture….We definitely need some color in here! Turqoise and green have slowly been popping up, but would love to add more with confidence!

    I have to say I’m excited to see red and green popping up around the house. I love Christmas! Tis the season…even if it is a bit early.

    COLOR ME! I know it isn’t really the trend right now, but I am a huge red fan. Usually subtle and not too much, but I gravitate to it all the time. especially orangey reds.

    COLOR ME!! I have lots of green in my house, lime in particular, although I’ve been gravitating away from that towards more olive-y greens and a few orange accents. My color moods change with the seasons which is why I try to stick with neutrals for the big things and keep the colors for easily swapped accents.

    COLOR ME! I keep adding bits of turquoise/blue everywhere. I don’t even notice that I am doing it but now our couch matches some vases (from home goods) which also matches the bathroom. I may have a problem.
