The only fragrance we’re giving away this week is that of sweat and elbow grease (yummy, right?). Because this week’s prize comes from Channellock, who not only makes some of our favorite tools but is also celebrating 125 years of forging them right here in the USA. So they’re giving away 1 + 2 + 5 tools (that makes 8, btw) to one soon-to-be-sweaty guy or gal.     I like the smell of wood: lumber (I feel like that’s what you smell upon entering Lowes), cedar, pine, ect.

    I love the smell of Vanilla-Lime candle from Yankee Candle, also the smell of a match (just blown out)!!!! And Chanel No 5, my perfume of choice !!

    I love the smell of almonds, especially combined with sugar. Like marzipan or almond croissants. Mmmmmm.

    Channel me!

    My dad taught automachenics when I was growing up and ran his own shop during the summers. I literally had a crib in his shop downtown and learned to ride my bike by going his his bay doors, through his classroom, out his classroom door, down the hall, into the welding classroom, and out those bay doors in a loop. I admit, the smell of grease and gasoline always makes me feel at home!

    CHANNEL ME! My favorite smell is the smell of each of my girls and my husband’s cleanly washed heads..call me crazy but I could breath it in forever!

    Channel Me! I love the smell of meatloaf right before it goes in the oven….all those spices. Weird, I know.

    Channel me! My favorite on purpose smell is a fresh gardenia floating in a bowl of water. But some other smells I relish include tomato vine (on my fingers), the bacteria that come alive in wet asphalt, the earthy smell inside a greenhouse, the long greenhouses that appear in rows, and fresh peppercorns.

    I’m not a big perfume person. But I use a lot of essential oils around the house, or in my hair. My favorites are grapefruit and lemongrass. I also really like the smell of baby powder…

    I love the smell of “fresh cotton” which but I have no clue if it actually smells like cotton or not because I’ve never smelled real fresh cotton.

    My favorite smells…oh there are too many to name! Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue for women and Aqua di gio for men are right up there at the top. Then of course there is my newborn baby’s head. And roasting turkeys. The coffee aisle at the grocery store. Cocoa butter. Anything by Origens. I could go on and on!
