Fab Freebie: Canine Design

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Burger barked a few times at random.org and it spit out our two winners. They are… Ruth (who’s jealous of the “sleep wherever you want” factor) and Mattie (who envies the happiness her dog finds in a squeaky toy). Congrats ladies! Everyone else – don’t forget about the discounts listed among the giveaway details. They’re still valid!

Tomorrow is Burger’s 5th birthday (I’m sure you already had it marked on your calendar), so this week’s giveaway is distinctly doggy-themed in his honor – thanks to two puppy lovin’ shops. The first is Oliver Blu Designs whose punchy animal silhouettes find their way onto shirts, baby gear, wall art, and stationery. So TWO of you will win a 10 x 10″ stretched wall canvas, a set of 10 personalized notecards, and a baby bodysuit in the breed of your choosing (might we recommend the chihuahua?)

Oliver Blu Designs

But it wouldn’t be a dog-tastic prize without something for your dog, right? That’s where Hollywoof Styles comes in. Our two lucky winners will also score $50 to spend on their awesome handmade collars and leashes. Just don’t tell Burger, okay?

Hollywood Styles

  • PRIZE: A gift set from Oliver Blu Designs (10 x 10″ wall canvas, set of 10 personalized note cards, child’s bodysuit) and $50 to Hollywoof Styles.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOW WOW!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what you’re most jealous of when it comes to the canine lifestyle. Not having to pay bills? Getting to sleep all day? Enjoying a carefree romp through the grass? Being able to catch a frisbee with your teeth? Or (dare I say) not having to wear clothes?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 28th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: 10% off orders at Hollywoof Styles AND Oliver Blue Designs with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Oliver Blu Designs and Hollywoof Styles.

BOW WOW! I am jealous of my dog’s freedom from a job, bills, and pretty much any and all responsibilities (except to obey me and other humans). I try to keep his perspective in mind as I go about my day, making play and exercise a priority, and finding as much joy and excitement as possible in even the littlest things.

    BOW WOW

I am grateful that they want to be our pets and share their lives with us. We have five different breeds that we have adopted from different rescues. We have three that we have adopted from Carolina Poodle Rescue in Pacolet, SC. There are more than Poodles there since there are so many four legged’s in need. We volunteer in the winter, spring break and summer (actually when ever we can) and work in the kennels to help bath, groom, clean the cages and play areas, feed, wash and dry the crate pads and towels and hang them to dry. The most important thing that we do is give each and everyone of them a lot of love and attention so that they are ready to go to their forever home. We do this as a family (Jeff, myself and our two girls) and love the people that work there as well as the other wonderful volunteers that travel from all over the country to help. We love the animals.

Next time you get a chance to get to Gaffney, SC and are shopping at the Pottery Barn outlet you might want to take a side trip to Dreamweaver Farms home to Carolina Poodle Rescue. The Farm is about 20 minutes travel time from the outlet.

So glad you love your pup-he’s so handsome! Happy Birthday to Burger!

    Blessings, Teresa Teague

P.S. We are in mourning with the death of our 13 1/2 year old toy poodle, Hana Lei, that crossed over on the 12th of this month and is in the arms of Jesus. She was a birthday gift to me six weeks before our first daughter was born. Our family loved her very much!

My hubby and I always talk about what a good life our 2 dogs lead: endless napping, treats, and showered with love by us. We are such pushovers and put up with being practically pushed out of bed every night while they spread out in-between us!
