After lots of love proclamations for NSYNC, NKOTB and more, random.org has survived boy-band-mania and crowned our winner as… Megan G (who says she loves the original boy band…The Beatles). Congrats Megan!
In the spirit of a week of cleaning & organizing, who could use a new lawn mower to tidy things up outside? Well, someone’s getting this puppy (valued at $339) thanks to Lawn-Boy. It’s self propelled, easy to start, and features a “Blade Stop” system that allows you to turn off the blades without killing the engine, which comes in handy if you’ve got a lawn frequently peppered with sticks or toys (not that I’m speaking from experience or anything).

NSYNC. Sadly, I was incredibly obsessed with them, to the point that when they parted with that creepy Lou guy and it was said they had been cheated out of some of their money, I told my mom I was going to send them my allowance because I didn’t want them to be homeless. My walls were covered in posters, floor to ceiling. My furniture was covered in posters. Any surface I could stick a poster to, it was done. I spent any money I made from making websites (I was a busy 9-year old) went to buying import singles, concert tickets, you name it. I look back and wonder what the heck was wrong with me!
The night I tore down all of my posters and decided I was no longer a fan, I came out of my room and my mom and brother stood staring, mouths agape, and my brother said, “Did she have a breakdown?” Funny/sad times.

I am a 4th grade teacher and one of my kids brought me one of those World Records books the other day, pointed to a picture of N’Sync and asked ,”Have you ever heard of these guys?” I had to control my inner 12 year old self but I did admit to my kids that I was slightly obsessed with N’Sync back in the day.
