Fab Freebie: Blast From The Past

It’s Monday. Or, as we like to call it: Giveaway Day.

This week’s prize comes from Sweetshorn Vintage, a truly one-of-a-kind Etsy shop that boasts an eclectic collection of old school goodies. Their fun mixture of home decor, art and “tiny treasures” are sure to inject equal parts fun, quirk and retro style to your home.

We couldn’t do this unique shop justice by offering up just one prize – so we’ve got four that our winner can choose from. There’s a Pair of Porcelain Birds or a Trio of Tiered Vases that would look great atop a bookshelf. Or if kitchen decor is on your mind lately, you can pick a Set of Five Mod Glasses (they’re so Mrs. Robinson) or the Copper Anchor Plate (Sherry is dying over this one). In short: no matter what the winner chooses, they can’t go wrong.

To enter, just comment on this post with the words “I’M A BLAST!” by Wednesday, March 11 at 8pm EST. Then go ahead and tell us what makes you a blast to be around (besides your good taste in blogs). Is it your sense of humor or dry sarcasm? Do you play a mean game of Scrabble? Or perhaps you have an uncanny ability to belt out Britney songs? Don’t be shy – we wanna know what hanging out with you in real life might be like. Oh, and the winner’s choice of the four prize options can be shipped to the US and Canada.     I’m a blast! I can always make vegan cupcakes to cheer up someone’s day! Also, I don’t take myself too seriously so I can always laugh at myself [which is sometimes too often necessary]!

    I’M A BLAST! At least once a day I will trip and there is always at least one lucky viewer to see me fall. It takes me a little longer to stand back up because I am normally laughing too hard:-) Good thing humor at my own expense has never brought me down…pun intended:-)

    because:
    – I do play a mean game of Scrabble
    – can belt out ANY Britney song
    – still talk “Valley Girl” by saying “awesome” and “that’s so rad”
    – LOVE BANGS
    – OWN every season out on DVD of Beverly Hills 90210 & Melrose Place and still love to watch it
    – and the #1 reason that I AM A BLAST is that I still wear my hair up in a scrunchie

    I’m a blast! The reason? I am truly the World’s Worst Joke-teller. People laugh more at me telling a joke than at the joke itself.

    I can’t help that I only have one joke in my repertoire and that the one joke cracks me up so much that I can’t get through it without laughing and periodically pausing to gasp for air. It really is the funniest joke ever. Just don’t ask me to tell you . . .

    I’m a BLAST! i swear i really am…this past weekend i had to keep my sister’s kids from crying in the car. so i quickly looked up a song i knew on their ipod– joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat! i belted it out and it worked!

    I’m a blast because I dominate 80’s trivia games. Sadly the last time I played the 80’s game I could remember the name of the actor who played Balki on Perfect Strangers (Bronson Pinchot) but couldn’t remember Fidel Castro! Oops

    I’M A BLAST because…well with a name like SuzieSuze I think you have to be fun, but for realsies, I’m a blast because I love to randomly break out in odd dances, sing at the top of my lungs (even while walking to work) and I make a mean bowl of fruity pebbles (fruity pebbles make everyone happy)

    I’M A BLAST! You want to know why? Because whenever we get together with friends or family, something always “happens.” You know what I mean? The type of probably-embarrassing, hysterically funny, ironic,thing that you tell stories about for years after.
