The day will feature freebies, special discounts, seminars, activities, and even gift card giveaways. Speaking of which… they’re giving one lucky reader three $100 gift cards right here this week (one for the winner and two for his or her friends) – which I’m pretty sure would solidify your status as BFFs for life.

My best friend is my husband. Corny? yes. Awesome? also yes. Something that we do that I love, is when we’re on road trips we look up random things and learn together (usually he’s driving, so I look something up on my phone and read the info aloud). It’s fun to be able to be driving past something and say, “hm, I wonder what that is?” and instantly learn about it together. ex: there’s some weird giant satellite dish looking things on 395 (a highway in California we regularly travel to go to Mammoth), turns out it’s a radio observatory. Since learning about it, we’ve added a future trip to go take a tour there. So we learn, and plan new fun things to explore!

My best friend and I were both part of the same co-ed fraternity in college, and after school we were roommates. She were in each other’s weddings. Now we live in separate cities, hundreds of miles apart, and we both have children and busy lives. But we text frequently and we’re both in the car commuting at the same time in the evening, so we chat every week or two, about everything. She has two stepdaughters and two biological daughters and could use an Ikea gift card!

We’ve vacationed together with our families, taken yearly GIRLS-ONLY trips to NYC without the kids, and regularly get together to gossip into the wee hours of the night and have a rowdy-good time.
