Speaking of which… they’re giving one lucky reader three $100 gift cards right here this week (one for the winner and two for his or her friends) – which I’m pretty sure would solidify your status as BFFs for life.

I met my BFF-Forever (when we were 18 adding the second forever just made sense) my freshman year of college. She was actually my RA, but we didn’t become BFF’s until a year later when I became an RA too! We fell in like over a shared love for the All American Rejects and pizza. This year is our offical 10th anniversary! My favorite quirky thing that we do, is that we have a small “birthday troll” doll named Dottie that pass back and forth for our bdays. (you know the troll dolls that were very popular when we were kids with the bright colored hair…) Every year we add something new to her before mailing her from Chicago to St. Louis and back. After 10 years she has a couple of piercings, tattoos, friendship bracelets…etc.

My BFF is Sandy and we refer to each others as “Buddy O’ Pal’ or “Bud”. I was a bartender and she was a customer. That was 30+ years ago and we are still the best of friends and talk to each other at least once a week, sometimes more sometimes less. We even live 5 miles apart!!
