Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

Behr With Me! I have two rooms on my list to pain. I’m eyeing a pale misty blue for my craft room, or my guest is screaming for a pale sagey green with crisp white accents.

Our master bath just became a beautiful deep gray with fat white trim…now we want to do the adjoining master bedroom…a coordinating gray I think.

BEHR WITH ME but we already refer to our master bedroom as a cave. It’s the wrong color of green for us and we haven’t gotten around to painting it yet. We have some paint colors picked out for other rooms in the house but the master just isn’t.quite.right.

Behr with me! I’ve lived in our house for almost five years, and we’ve only painted two rooms! Granted, they’re the rooms we use most, but the smurf-blue sponge-painted bathroom needs to go. (It scares me how used to it I’ve gotten.)

BEHR WITH ME as I dream about the color of paint that I want. So many choices! I would love to paint our living room something lighter. Right now, it’s wood and boring..and very dark. I would like a whitish color or very light blue or tan..not sure yet. But I will be heading over to the website to upload my photo and play around for what I think will be ALL NIGHT!!

    Behr with me.
I’m planning to repaint our second guest bedroom-it’s the only one of the four we haven’t touched since we moved in 3 years ago. 1st order of business was to get rid of the dark royal blue master, and the lavender guest room. Bedroom # 3 became a nursery last spring. The relatively innocuous peachy cream of room #4 has been waiting patiently for its turn. Since the other three have lots of color, I will likely go pretty neutral-probably a barely detectable, almost white, light blue.

BEHR WITH ME! We are getting ready to paint the entire house so yah for free paint.

We just redid some of the things in our office “borrowing” from the great board you did for Sara in January (yes, the Target chair, the great green target lamp and those cute crate and barrel green boxes joined our ikea Trilling prints in the office)!

Now the adjoining bathroom needs to be painted and I want a green to compliment the accents in that office. No color picked out yet but it would be so easy with the Behr paint deck!

    Thanks for your great contests.

Man oh man, do we need this paint! We’re redoing the master bathroom in our fixer-upper house. The carpet and old shower have come out and we’re putting in heated tile floors (for those cold Alaskan winter mornings), a new expanded shower and lighting. I would so appreciate some snazzy Behr paint to put the finishing touches on this remodel.

BEHR with me! 4 rooms down…3 to go! I have a great room that has some wooden beams somewhat similar to the post late last week. I’m looking forward to polishing them up a bit, but then what color to paint the walls?? I don’t know if something too bold will make the room feel dark–but plain beige just isn’t in my DNA!
