Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME! My dining room still needs color. Right now it is just tinted primer as I decide which way to go with my orange silk curtains, dark room, 11 foot ceilings, and original faux graining from the 1850s.

Behr with me! Ok here’s a good one…. I really need to paint our main floor bath. While my mother in law was living (temporarily) in our guest room she decided to decorate and paint. Well she painted apporx. 45% of the bathroom and never finished. She’s FINALLY moving out so soon we will get to redo her “fix up”. I could totally use a gallon or two!

    BEHR WITH ME!

That Paint Your Place tool is awesome–we used it when trying to decide on a color for our laundry room (it was between Lauren’s Surprise and Swimming Pool–we went with Lauren’s Surprise and it’s awesome!)

If I won the free gallon we’d definitely use it to paint either the main bath (probably Pensive Sky–we just picked up Behr swatches at Home Depot yesterday!) or the office (soon to be baby room). :)

BEHR WITH ME as I rant and rave that this giveaway couldn’t come at a more perfect time. The Hubby and I just collected about a hundred paint samples over the weekend to repaint our kitchen. I wish I would have known about Behr’s program before, it would have saved a lot of driving around. Oddly enough, we both have decided on Behr’s Mission Tile for the kicthen.

    BEHR WITH ME!

We are going to repaint our hall/guest bathroom this weekend, so this giveaway would be perfect! We are planning on a milk chocolate brown (not too dark) that matches an accent color in our shower curtain. The curtain is ivory with choco brown toile and robin’s egg blue little birds outlined (from Target).

We just bought a new house, and hate the previous owners’ paint choices. SO where to begin is the question! However, the wallpaper is so much worse, we’ll most likely start in the bathrooms!

BEHR WITH ME!! What a great new tool this is! We’ve been thinking about dryingwalling our currently paneled basement and a fresh coat of paint will be at the top of the to do list. I’m leaning toward a nice neutral tan/beige (it will be in the basement after all), but my husband wants a dark green, in keeping with the pub idea that he’s going for down there. This Paint Your Place tool may be the way for us to made a decision without spending on trial pints of paint.

I recently moved into a new condo, painted all in builder’s flat tan. First paint job will probably be the master bedroom. I’m thinking a soft grayish purple, like Pearl Violet. Or maybe the second bathroom, in Cool Jazz.
