Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

The room that I would be painting will *hopefully* be a nursery. I’m a huge fan of the colors you posted in this post. We are hoping to do the more teal color with red accents. That seems to be a gender neutral combo would look great with ikea’s white dresser/jenny lind white crib that we are looking at too!

This would be the perfect opportunity to win! We are hoping to test positive in 2 weeks! It’s been a long journey that we are hoping ends soon!

    Crossing my fingers!

BEHR WITH ME! Your giveaways usually make my “case of the Mondays go away” in no time.

I live in a neglected 1200 sq foot rental townhouse that needs every inch of wall painted… even the closets. If this bucket were to be mine, it would be a happy green color that would start in my 1/2 bath-laundry room combo that is the most dreary spot in the place.

Behr with me! I’d love to repaint our master bathroom. When I was pregnant and nesting, I HAD to repaint it IMMEDIATELY, so I used the only color we had, which was an asparagus green from our kitchen. Too much for a small area! I want to tone it down now that I’ve had the baby and have gotten my home decor project urge under better control.

Behr with me! While my husband is slaving away getting our house ready to be set (a custom modular home by Southern Heritage Homes here in VA), I can’t stop thinking about decor and paint colors. Right now I’m leaning towards the greys and greens. We hope to set the house on the foundation tomorrow- yay! I can hardly wait!

I’m going for the exact same look for our small guest room/office (perhaps nursery one day), but my husband wants to paint it MAROON! I actually used the term “jewel box” to describe it to him this weekend, and now I’m going to forward this article to him to help make my case.

Behr with me! Currently, I am helping my mom redecorate her master bedroom. She has spent so much time considering all of the other rooms in the house that she has completely neglected her own – for about 20 years! It is in desperate need of a makeover… We are still uncertain of the color but are pretty sure we want something deep and rich. The Paint Your Place tool should be perfect for helping us decide!

    Behr With Me!
We just bought our first home and have painted every single room in the house EXCEPT the kitchen. I can’t decide! Right now it is an incredibly sunny yellow which I thought I would like, but it clashes too heavily with the cabinets for some reason (dark brown). I need to pick a color, and SOON, but it’s too hard for me. I currently have a large orange square and a gray stripe on the walls as I go on my quest for the perfect paint color!

BEHR WITH ME while I find myself talking to my favorite crystal bowl in my new house with neglected white walls. I have a living room with vaulted cielings and and open stairway painted all white….dirty dirty white. The house is 18 years old and I’m not even sure it is paint. It might be the original primer. Behr with me! I am so ready to get rid of the olive green walls in my kithen and eat-in dining room. My cabinets are a hazelnut off-white with a chocolate glaze, so the olive looks really good, but it makes the space so dark. I am ready to change to a lighter cooler like a steely blue or a fern green!

BEHR WITH ME! We moved into our home a little over a year ago, and we painted almost immediately. I was pregnant, and I wanted EVERYTHING finished by the time the baby came (only 5 months after we moved in). So, in my haste — and pregnancy haze — I picked a color for our master bathroom that I’m really regretting. Ugh. It’s a dark gray that I thought would be soothing, but I really would rather a much (MUCH!) lighter and airier pale gray/blue or gray/green to give it that spa feeling.

BEHR WITH ME! We picked the “perfect” blue paint color for our bathroom last year, and after living with it on two walls (the same two that got new silver hardware; the other, still white walls have the old oak vanity and hardware…it’s a little odd, I know) for all of these months, I think I’ve decided it is too dark. Can’t wait to try out this new program, and I know hubby would love the free gallon of paint to try again!
