Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME- I just bought a new house yesterday (!) and will be moving in June when the house is finished being built. We’ll need to paint EVERY room, so I really will need my friends and family to Behr with me while I go a bit paint crazy. Good thing lead was taken out of paints a while ago :)

Behr with me! I need to pick a neutral color for our kitchen that will extend into a living space … and a hallway … and down the stairs… I am so nervous about it! A paint deck would be so helpful.

    BEHR with me!

I LOVE Behr paints. We used them in our new home- so far we’ve done our bedroom, our daughter’s room, and our living room. We still need to tackle the half bath downstairs (already have the paint purchased), AND the kitchen…. but I have no idea what color to do in the kitchen! We are shopping for a tile backsplash, but we need to come up with a color that will complement our dark countertops. I’m thinking maybe a pale green color????

BEHR WITH ME! I need to paint my whole house, which we bought about a year and a half ago. The entire house is plain, unfinished diamond plaster. Yes, I know it’s probably a crime to paint diamond plaster, but I can’t stand it!

We are remodeling our basement so we will be painting about 900 square feet of walls… My hubby only uses Behr because he says it’s the best.

BEHR WITH ME — yes I’m painting. This weekend it’s my son’s room, in two weeks it’s the baby’s room. After that it’s either the kids’ bathroom or the dining room, whichever bugs me the most first. Also on the list are the Master bedroom and bathroom, but gotta strip some wallpaper first. Yeesh, which rooms am I NOT painting??

BEHR WITH ME!!! Your timing couldn’t be better. After tackling the entire downstairs, I just this past weekend had the urge to start upstairs with the guest bedroom. Surprising for me, I’m considering going with a pale, pale, pink – so pale it’s almost beige.

Thanks for the chance to win!

    BEHR WITH ME!
I’ve painted almost the entire interior of our house since we moved in 2 years ago with Behr paint (Oh, and we did the exterior last summer, also Behr). Whats left you ask? The kitchen, but that is waiting for a bigger makeover first (counters, flooring). Until then, I’ve been dying to paint a pattern on one wall of my living room (which is currently Behr Cornerstone, love that color) in the style of Jennifer from Design Star – branches with leaves – in some sort of blue grey.

We have been putting off painting the den and kitchen (sadly where we spend most of our time) because it seems like we can’t find the right colors. Our whole house was painted in a goldy-tan that made everyone look green at night, EEK!

Behr With Me. We are just about to paint our daughters room, the top half above the bead board. We’re learning towards different shades of pink. But then we also have been yearning to paint our own bedroom if we could only choose the color. This paint tool should help narrow down the 25 swatches we are currently trying to decide between!

I’m planning to repaint my dining room. I picked a perfectly awful yellow when we moved into this house nearly two years ago and I’ve been living with it (and hating it!) ever since. It keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.

I’m with Eryn–our house was like a crayola box when we moved in…we’ve been working hard and now we’re down to the laundry room (green cabinets and primer only on the walls) and the guest room which is hunter green with a jungle mural on one wall…both need paint!!

“BEHR WITH ME!!!” We moved in about 1.5 years ago and have still not painted the 3rd bedroom/office. It will eventually be our baby’s room when we decide we’re ready! :-) And we’ve been wanting to paint it a light butter cream yellow color. We haven’t found the perfect color yet, but I may use that handy dandy new Paint Your Place Tool to find the perfect color!! Thanks!

I am thinking a Behr Gobi Desert in the closet (love neutrals too!) and a subtle gray in the bedroom. Still playing around with which gray color… now I will have to take a picture of the room and try this Paint your Place tool! :)

“Behr With Me” I would love to repaint our basement. It’s a movie room/game room so I want it to be fun. The one end of the room is black (yes black) because it helps keep it dark for movies and I want to make the other end yellow to make it a good ol Hawkeye’s theme! :-) Thanks!
