Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME…I’m in the process of painting my boy’s room. We are compromising on the colors. He wants gray and I want blue – so we are looking at steel blue.

Well, this is a fun giveaway! I have to check out that Paint Your Place tool. Could save me a lot of time, money, and energy down the road (I’ve been known to repaint the same room multiple times to get it the way I want it!). We’re repainting our two-story foyer soon, so this would be a big help!

    Behr with me! :-)

    BEHR WITH ME!

Our living room paint color has not changed in 6 years (dark, sage green phase). I am ready for an update! Maybe blue to go with our medium, oak stained trim and fireplace mantle?

We just moved into our new (old) house and every room in the place needs to be painted. I kind of want a yellow bathroom first.

I badly need to paint my kitchen (I have test colors all over it right now and don’t like any of them). I have natural pine cabinets and floors and not much natural light, so I’m having a heck of a time finding something that adds contrast and isn’t too boring… :-)

Next up for us is the nursery. If I had my way it would be Restoration Hardware’s Silver Sage, quickly becoming my go-to neutral all over my house. But I don’t think the husband is going to let it happen!

Oh, so many rooms to paint, but for our living room/entry I have been thinking a nice, warm yellow would be a good choice. I like morning sunshine or pale daffodil.

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

Yes, I’m in big trouble trying to find a paint color for a girls bedroom shared by two “tweeners”. God save me from purple, pink, and anything glittery!

I’m hoping my hubby will BEHR WITH ME enough so see how great our dining room will look with the lime-green-and-tan colors I’m envisioning. We just bought our first house, and it is partly covered with lot of really old-fashioned, ugly wall paper that I plan to strip and re-paint to bring our home’s look into the 21st century. I could use a lot more than 1 gallon of free paint! But the one gallon will be more than enough for my planned dusty blue accent wall in the living room. I have my fingers crossed!!

BEHR WITH ME! I should own stock in Behr. I have painted every room in my entire house with Behr paint. LOVE IT!
We have been in the house 12 years and when I finally got everything painted- I’m starting over again. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I get tired of things too often. We just repainted our Living Room & Dining Room and now it’s on to the kitchen. I’ll be painting the cabinets and walls so, probably need a nice peanut butter color for the walls- YUMMY! to go with the brown, creme & orange glass tiles I just put on for the backsplash. A free gallon would help alot!!!

BEHR WITH ME! We have been REALLY wanting to paint our other bedroom, not decided on a color yet. But the real reason it would be awesome to win this give away is that our turtle tANK DUMPED 27 gallons of water on our wall and floor, and we got water damage! So now my husband has to sand down the plaster and I have repaint the dinning room…yuck. I do believe our color under the chair rail was Fudge Bar from Behr. I’m crossing my fingers, we really need that gallon of paint!

We personally don’t know of that color but perhaps you can go to the Behr website or your local home improvement center to see what they have. Hope it helps!
