Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME!…. I JUST test painted my bathroom this past weekend with some paint and was going back to buy the whole gallon! This would be perf. I picked out a very deep dark charcoal/navy blue/gray color I spotted in a mag. Now if only you were giving away crisp white towels or sophisticated scones next week… eh??

    BEHR WITH ME!

I’m pregnant with my 2nd child and am wanting to paint (well, have husband paint ;)) the office, which is right now grey…something a little more fun to transform it into the nursery – I’m thinking a light celery green that will work for boy or girl…we also still have to re-paint our 2 year old daughter’s neutral walls to make it something more fun for her “big girl bedroom”. Free paint would be a HUGE help – maybe my husband would actually get started on the rooms then ;) thanks! love Thermal Spring – looks a little like our kitchen color (Behr’s Jamaica Bay).

    Behr with Me!

I’ve been wanting to paint my master bedroom for the longest time (the last 6 years) but have not been able to commit to a colour. I’m thinking of a dark taupe colour. Something that makes the room warm and cozy, but neutral.

    BEHR WITH ME!

I am moving into a new house this month — and it’s the first time I’ve had walls I’ve been allowed to paint, so the prospect is beyond exciting!!

I’ll be painting an office (that I’m sure I’ll be using everyday since I am starting Graduate school soon) so I want something that will make me cheerful and actually want to sit at my desk and work. Maybe like Purple Surf from Behr. So lovely.

    “BEHR WITH ME”

Any free paint would be great!! My husband and I bought our first home, a small salt box post and beam last July and have been working hard inside and out to turn the previous owners decorating techniques into our own. There have been many painstaking hours of wallpaper scraping, scrubbing, painting, landscaping, etc. This spring we are tackling the drainage around the house. But I have one more room that desperately needs to be painted, the entry way – I just need to psych myself up for more wallpaper removal. So, long story short free paint is always welcomed!!

Behr with me as I consider all of my color options for our (future) nursery. No baby rumors please:) This room will be a guest room until it is necessary to make it a baby room. Thinking a light aloe-ish green, maybe??

Behr with me — my husband’s a photographer and we recently converted our long hallways into gallery space for his black and white landscapes. The photos look fabulous — but they need freshly painted walls to really make them stand out.

It is open to the kitchen and only has one standard window, in the farthest corner of the room. It really is a tough one. I will so be using this. Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!!

Oh please BEHR WITH ME, Sherry and John! Our sad, sad, little basement so badly needs some TLC! It functions as our media room (and play room for the babes) and it is the only room in the house we haven’t painted since we moved in 3 years ago. I just can’t “behr” with the plain white walls and utter lack of COLOR! So, please…please…BEHR WITH ME! ;)

We’ve done a ton of painting downstairs, but our next project is in the soon-to be nursery! We should know in the next week or so what gender the baby is, and we’ll probably be going with some sort of soothing blue or green shade, depending on the gender. This giveaway would be a huge help!!

We are getting ready to be brave and paint some cabinetry in our house. We have these lovely (notsomuch!!) orangey wood cabinets that the orginal builder of our home put up himself. The quality of the wood is great. The color/tone of the wood…is pretty ghastly. We’re going to start w/ some bathroom cabinetry in the same color (orangey wood ;) ) and then once we perfect our technique, we’ll move onto the cabinets.
