Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME!! I reorganized my craft room last week, and it’s dying for color. I mean, who can be creative in an off-white room? I’m thinking light green, but I haven’t got the swatches out yet.

BEHR WITH ME!! I can’t even begin to talk about the rooms that I’d like to paint – our son’s room, the guest room, bathrooms, etc. We moved into a house that was painted with all FLAT CREAM paint. Ugh. So far we’ve painted most rooms, but have a few (see above) left to do. I’d love a few gallon of paint to get me in gear…again. :)

I REALLY need to paint my master bathroom – the previous owners painted it sky blue and used a sponge to add lilac, yellow, and apple green splotches over the entire bathroom! It SO needs to be toned down – I’m thinking maybe Desert Shadows or Twig Basket?

    BEHR WITH ME! Please.

As far as rooms…we have two “problem” rooms. One is our attic master bedroom, since the original colour turned out to be…wrong. Depressingly so. Sigh.

The other is our teeny-tiny entryway/foyer (I’ve almost sent y’all a picture so many times…!). I’m thinking a bright, cheery red, as a background for some pretty art, but it’s such a small room I’m a little concerned it will give people panic attacks. The rooms one can enter from it are the living room (a golden taupe wall, subtle colours) or our kitchen (turquoise walls, yum!).

BHER WITH ME! I have a lot of painting to do this summer… I was thinking a creamy/yellowy colored kitchen, a light gray office, and a beige mud room. All that adds up, so getting even one gallon free would really help! Your give-aways are fantastic.

We NEED to paint the second full bathroom. It is hideously decorated in the past popular sun moon and stars. It is one of the only rooms we have not redone since moving here 4 years ago. I am dreading painting over the navy blue sponge paint, but need to desperately!

BEHR WITH ME!! I’m actually in the process right now of repainting my bathroom. First coat went on today and the other one tomorrow. Then it’s on to my master bedroom (plum and light-light purple on three of the walls), then the office (aqua on two walls & white on two)… and eventually onto the rest of the house over the summer!! I’m sick of white walls and need more color!
