Fab Freebie: Behr With Me

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s freebie’s gonna be a colorful one. 3,700 colors to be exact, because it comes from the fine people at Behr paint. And we’ll have not one, not two, but three winners who will each get a free gallon of Behr paint along with a complimentary Behr paint fan deck. How’s that for kick starting a few of your spring makeover projects?

We all know that the hardest part of transforming a room with paint is painstakingly picking the perfect color. But Behr has gone and made it easier thanks to their new Paint Your Place tool. This free, online resource lets you virtually paint your very own rooms with a few clicks of the mouse (it’s a great way to waste an entire afternoon). For instance, we uploaded a picture of our third bedroom to see if a bright color might work when it eventually (key word) becomes a nursery (in a looong time, no baby rumors please). What do you think of Thermal Spring? Sherry thinks it makes the small room look like a little jewel box.

We were really impressed by how the program smoothly integrated the existing shadows and sun spots in the photo that we uploaded, giving the room a pretty realistic look (all without having to pick up a paint brush). Plus, with the color selector tool it was really easy to adjust the color, no matter if we decided it needed to be lighter, darker or even more green.

So if you wanna win one of these free gallons of paint, just leave a comment on this post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST. While you’re at it, we’d love to know if there’s a room in your home that you’ve been planning to repaint (and what color you might be considering). This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada and as usual only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. Good luck…

BEHR WITH ME! Um, what room are we *not* planning on painting?! We moved into new construction, and all the walls are the same beige color… in flat, showing every little scuff mark. I can’t wait to get home and play with some pictures to help pick out our new wall colors. First is going to be our master bedroom, with every other room except the living room to follow. I don’t think I want to start with the vaulted ceiling room… I need to ease into this process. :) Thanks for the chance to win!

    BEHR WITH ME

We moved this year, and the baby has taken affront to the living room wall paper (rightly so) and has removed a large portion of it (if only she could work a scraper) — so I’ll be painting that rooms soon (by soon, I mean two months from now)!

    BEHR WITH ME !

I have so so many rooms to paint. I just painted two this weekend, the dining room a mid-tone blue and the sunroom a greyish navy color.

I have YET to do the guest bedroom in red. Specifically, we’re doing “velvety merlot” (a behr color!)

But I have yet to do my office. If I win, this is what I would paint! (Although I’m still not sure on the color, so that paint chip deck sure would come in handy as well).

    BEHR WITH ME!

We are expecting our first baby and plan on converting our extra “half bedroom” (now filled with misc storage) into a nursery. Since we’re in a small NYC apt, we’re looking for something bright and sunny to perk the room up. Would love some Behr paint to get started!

    Behr With Me :)

My husband and I just signed the lease on a new apartment that we absolutely love–but the first thing we want to do is tone down the banana-yellow walls in the living room, hallway and dining room. We love how bright and fun the color is, but we want to take it down a few notches to more of a lemony color.

Behr with me! We actually had to repaint every single room in our house last year. The previous owner’s colors were hideous. We still have to repaint the mud/laundry room and the kitchen though and those are both on my project list for spring. Still trying to decide on colors so this prize would be awesome!

Behr with me. Behr is the only paint we use. We have several colors in our house – Behr breaker, sterling, pina colada, and I forget the other names. They are fabulous though! Pina colada is such a cheerful color – which helps considering it is in the guest room / office where I spend all my time studying!

beat-beat-bababa-beat… beat-beat-baba-beet… BEHR WITH ME! I’ve been mulling over paint ideas for our unborn child’s nursery as well- when the time comes I’m hoping we can hold out for the ultimate surprise- so I’ve been thinking about orange as a nursery color. I know it sounds a bit bold, but I think it could be really cool if we pick juuuust the right shade- so this tool will be extra handy!

BEHR WITH ME as I repaint my entire house. I just finished repainting the kitchen, butlers pantry but still have to paint the adjacent bathroom. Next on the agenda — all my bedrooms minus the master. We’re going to play switch-a-roonie and each room is going to be repurpose. My two boys will be sharing the biggest room, the smallest will become my office and the medium will be the guest room — EACH room needing a new paint color!
