Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

My hubby’s birthday is on valentines day, so its an extra special day for the both of us. We plan on having a sitter and going out and doing some grown up stuff, ya know eat dinner at a nice restaurant with out being in parent mode..See a non- cartoon animated movie. Ofcourse the kiddos will get lots of hugs and kisses too!

We always do the same thing for valentines day and I love it – dinner at home on the actual night (something fun, but not too crazy if it’s a weeknight – never something we’d make on a normal weeknight) and then dinner out on the closest Saturday someplace that we’ve wanted to try. We usually save a fun idea for a restuarant for valentine’s weekend.

We had plans to stay in and eat red-velvet cupcakes … until my husband wound up in the hospital with a stomach issue this weekend. (He’s much better now but is on a restricted diet!)
