Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

My girlfriend is going to be three hours away on Thursday, so we’ll make due with Skyping. Hopefully we can have a belated-Valentine’s-date soon, since it’s our first together, and I want it to be special.

We’ll be having a fun party in the morning for a group of neighboring homeschool kids so that they can all pass out and receive Valentines, and enjoy one another’s company – and so the mamas can hang out and talk and eat sweets :O)

    JEWEL ME!
On our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, I picked up a sweet card, and found a hilarious card, too so I ended up getting both for him. When we exchanged cards, he had also ended up getting a sweet and funny card. Now for every Valentine’s Day and anniversary, we always get each other a sweet and funny card. Usually no other gifts. Many times Wichita State men’s basketball has a game that night, and we are BIG fans, so that is totally fine to spend the evening at the arena. This year, no game that night, so we will hang out and probably make dinner together at home. :)

For Valentine’s Day, I made a cute card for my BF and we’re going out to dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant. Although we told each other “no gifts”, I made him a small photo frame and included a picture of us from Halloween!

I always get very excited about having an ultra-romantic Valentine’s day, but then I never can think of anything I really want to do, and we always procrastinate on getting a babysitter. So …we will probably give each other some smooches and make homemade ice cream and that’s about it.

J and I have a 4th anniversary coming up at the end of the month… we always postpone Valentine’s Day and do them together! It’s easier to get a dinner reservation and flowers are cheaper!

Please! We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day – it’s not such a big deal here in New Zealand, plus our wedding anniversary is only nine days later, which we always do something for (this year, horse trekking!). My now husband did give me a diamond ring for our first Valentines Day together though and it would be lovely to get something beautiful for this one, nearly a decade on.

I have fun creating a heart themed day for my 5 year old daughter. Pink milk with heart shaped ice, heart shaped pancakes, heart shaped sandwich for lunch, etc. Her valentines for her class are pics of her holding out her hand, then we inserted a tootsie pop. (Saw the idea on Pinterest)
