Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

JEWEL ME! my 3 year old had her preschool valentines day party today and i was the only parent to handmake the valentines. we had so much fun making them and i was proud to send them with her to school. win, win. i have simply requested sushi take-out on valentines day because our adorable 16 month old is a wiggle-worm and is no longer fun to take out to dinner! i’m sure a nice glass of wine all snuggled up on the couch together will be enjoyed, as well!

My husband and I will be celebrating our 8th (maybe it’s 9th) valentines together. I’ve lost count. We usually don’t celebrate with gifts, but try to celebrate our love throughout the year. Case in point, I bought him a Flyers hockey shirt to say thank you for putting up with me and the kids while I spent a crazy month of compressed classes to finish my B.of Education. It was only after I gave it to him that I thought, “Shoot, I should have saved it for Valentine’s Day!”.
