JEWEL ME! Valentine’s Day has always been my favorite holiday, even though I have had a significant other on only one V-day in my entire life! Guess I must have a romantic soul. Many years ago, my sister vowed to be my Valentine until I found one of my own, and she always give me a heart-themed gift. This is my first V-day with my boyfriend… I am going to cook his favorite dinner for us and my daughter (filet, green beans, and potatoes) and I got him a watch that I found on Groupon Goods that normally costs almost $500 for about $50! He loves a good deal so he will be stoked. Then we are going out of town to visit my sis and her fiancee and my man’s best friend for the weekend!

V-day itself will probably be pretty low key this year. I don’t care much for most of the hoopla and I’m not willing to fight the crowds for dinner. We were able to find a sitter last weekend and decided to go snowboarding for this year’s V-day celebration. We live in UT, so it was just a simple drive up the canyon and day at the slopes, but it was fun to have time to do something we love, but don’t get to do very often.
