I’m pregnant with twins this Valentine’s day, so my husband is cooking me dinner at home this year. I’ve also used my pregnancy as an excuse to eat as much Valentine’s day candy as possible this year.

My fiance and I have a game of trying to find the most ridiculous gift to deliver to each others’ offices on Valentines Day. I gave him a break this year . . . its just a chocolate chip cookie bouquet . . because last year he got a singing telegraph! (and he delivered me a giant meowing cat balloon)

We won’t get to celebrate this week because we have too much going on but we’ll have a belated celebrating on the 20th. We’ll be getting a babysitter and staying a hotel downtown. Dinner at a restaurant, holding hands as we walk around town and just enjoying a night on our own. Surprisingly, after 7 years together, we’ve never spent a night a hotel by ourselves. It’s going to be fun!

I plan on making heart shaped pancakes with strawberries for breakfast for my hubby and boys and each of their fav things for dinner. Then my hubby and I are taking our boys (ages 4 & 8 months) to a charity basketball game between local football and baseball stars. Its for a childrens charity. Nothing like showing what real love is all about, not just hearts and flowers. :)
