Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

In our tradition of being non traditional, my husband and I are planning to go for an early breakfast (at a restaurant) so that we can exchange cards and then head to work with that “your heart is filled with love” glow! :)

JEWEL ME, pretty please! We are making homemade (heart shaped?) pizzas with our little almost 2 guy on Valentines, probably followed by brownies because he LOVES “choc-ate!” Then on Friday night my guy and I are going out to a fun movie and some yummy korean. Looking forward to this weekend!

We are going out to dinner for a 4 course meal at a crepe restaurant. It should be delectable! We also sent valentine’s cards to our entire families (not a tradition, but we were feeling a little extra lovey-dovey this year).

Not celebrating Valentine’s Day so much as a rare, coincidental night off! Plans are canasta and fondue with my dude, my sister, and her dude. And the dog, because dogs love cheese and playing cards. :)

Valentine’s Day falls 4 days before my hubby’s birthday so, we usually extend the holiday into his birthday celebration. For the 14th, we usually have a special dinner at home. We also visit the Chicago Auto Show and watch basketball all weekend. How romantic, lol.

JEWEL ME! We’re not big celebraters of Valentine’s Day, but pre-kiddo, we used to make each other homemade cards every year. (Being the hoarder that I am, I still have every single one.) Speaking of cards — guess I better get on the ones for the little guy to take to his daycare classmates!

We don’t have any firm plans. We generally go out the day before or the day after, not on Valentine’s night itself. Figure we’ll get better service that way and places will be less crowded.

You will appreciate this, we are in the process of sanding/priming/painting our Oak cabinets to a nice clean white. Goodbye OAK! So this valentines day we will be eating take-out because our kitchen is a wreck, and hopefully we will be to the painting stage of the process by Thursday! Very Romantic :)
